[LLVMdev] link-error: different visibilities
When I use llvm-2.5 to compile gnash which is a GNU flash movie player, some
errors appeared as follow:
llvm-ld: error: Cannot link in module
'../libcore/.libs/libgnashcore.a(movie_root.o)': Linking globals named
'_ZNKSt6vectorIN5gnash8geometry7Range2dIfEESaIS3_EE4sizeEv': symbols have
different visibilities!
Because the name is mangled, I can't find the exact position of

Mozilla windowless plugin
Hey,
I've just landed support for windowless mode to swfdec-mozilla git.
This means that pages such as
http://www.communitymx.com/content/source/E5141/wmodeopaque.htm stack
properly with Swfdec now. Menus overlayed with Flash ads should be a
thing of the past, too.
It also means Swfdec is the first plugin to support windowless on
Mozilla/Unix. While this means we now have another feature

Gnash 0.8.2 rpm for CentOS 4?
Does anyone know if there is a Gnash rpm available for CentOS 4?
I have tried compiling it myself but run into dependency problems.
I looked here
http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/gnash/
but there is only 0.8.2 for el5 not el4.

Some updates
Hey everybody,
I've been doing some thinking about the upcoming release while
enjoying my holidays and playing with ABC support. The ABC support
will require significant changes to the core that will likely result
in some instabilities for a while in the core. Seeing that both bug
reports and commits on master currently are low in volume, I'd vote
for fixing the few rather annoying bugs

Copy data from XP to same app under Wine??
With snarls and curses and gnashing of teeth, I still keep one
laptop and one dual-bootable PC hard drive with XPProSP2 installed.
(Everything else is Fedora 10.)
I do so purely for one class of apps, proprietary map software.
Wine can now install and run at least one, and the most
important, of the four suites of such apps that I have. (That one is
Garmin MapSource, including Topo US

Mappery breakthrough : Garmin topo, vista, rino, under linux & CXO
As most of you know, I've been trying to make GPSs and topo
maps usable under Fedora Core 4 linux, using CrossoverOfficePro (CXO)
5.0.1.
I've belabored nine or ten specialized lists for six or eight
weeks, parcelling out pieces of the problem wherever I hoped they
might arouse interest and knowledge. I've gotten invaluable help and
encouragement from all of them, on the lists

Fwd: Re: [Olpc-open] XO review & Theora
As far as video playback is concerned, it seems to mostly come down to
how the video is compressed - although Gnash (the open flash player)
still has a ways to go to play flash media as well as the closed source
flash players.
For the Colingo activity and library, we've found it very difficult to
find optimum settings for flash and instead have decided to go with
Theora. We've managed to

gnash plug-in for firefox on CentOS 6
How, if at all, should I replace the flash
plug-in for firefox running on CentOS 6?
I've read that gnash is a prospect,
but it seems to not be in any of my repositories.

Can wine be used to view a webpage online?
I am curious. There are online game sites tailored to work well with
windows which do not work well with Linux. For example:
http://www.pogo.com
Some of the games work, but others crash such as say "word whomp." This
happened to me in Fedora 10 and Ubuntu 10.10. Is there a way to open a
website using java pop-ups like 'word whomp' in wine with Linux? I

Next major version of Firefox on RHEL/CentOS ?
I know CentOS don't have inside info on what Redhat may or may not do in
the future - plus Redhat don't usually announce publicly what their
future plans are - but on the off-chance that someone on this list may know:
Does anyone know what Redhat are likely to do with the next major
release of Firefox on RHEL (and hence CentOS) ?
The reason I ask, is that RHEL has been supplying the
