No RID Set found for this server. Can't self-allocate
Hello, everybody.
I have a Samba domain spread over 19 offices, 5 of them have a domain
controller of their own.
Some of these DC work fine now that I have a quite homogeneous set of
samba versions. Most of them are Debian 11 with samba 4.17.
The last two DC added (in different offices) have joined the domain
without problems, but both have the same problem. The can't find a RID set:

Scripting the next UID/GID number to use
Hello,
I'm developing a script to create a user and pass along all the
necessary unix attributes required. I'm successful except when I go to
increment msSFU30MaxUidNumber or msSFU30MaxGidNumber. I'm not sure how
to use ldbedit to script this process. Any guidance would be great. Thanks.

Attempting to expunge tombstones with samba-tool
This is almost certainly because of a build artifact.
python/samba/netcmd/time.py was renamed to nettime.py but there is
likely to be a time.pyc file floating around in your directories.
The reason it was renamed was so that the samba tool time command wasn't
confused with the python time module, but this necessarily causes issues
with existing installs unfortunately. The fix is mostly

Symantec Endpoint Encryption with Samba
Hello,
Anyone using Symantec Endpoint Encryption with Samba? One of the
requirements is a Microsoft Server 2008 or 2012 for key and group policy
management. If not any other options for utilizing Samba along with
another Encryption process? Thanks.
