Domain Logout, then domain login again, profile corrupt -> replaced by TEMP profile
Hi
I have had this problem for a while, but waited to post this until I upgraded to see whether the upgrade would fix it.
I upgraded samba to the 4.2.X stream from 3.6.X stream, but it happens on both, 3.6.X and 4.2.10.
Whenever someone logs out, then in again the profile gets corrupted and a new TEMP profile is created (the dreadful "creating new desktop"). Now I do not know where

samba 4.8 client and 4.9 AD DC: Reducing LDAP page size from 1000 to 500 due to IO_TIMEOUT
Hello,
I have an issue as stated in topic. My samba 4.8.3 file server, which is AD
member frequently shows winbind errors (pasted below). From user
perspective it seems to work fine, but I'm worried that I have something
misconfigured and in the long run, I might run into some errors.
My AD DC are running on samba 4.9.x (two of them), compiled from source
with BIND as DNS backend (running on

samba file server - sediskoperatorprivilege not being honored
Hello,
I've been setting up new file server using samba 4.8.3 (centos 7 RPM),
as samba 4 AD member server using my earlier smb.conf when I realised
that I was previously somewhat circumventing the
SeDiskOperatorPrivilege by using "admin users map" to SAMDOM\Domain
admins" parameter in smb.conf.
I decided to change my smb.conf and setup shares following samba wiki.

samba 4.8x problem
Dear all,
We are using samba domain and i upgraded the samba from 4.7.9 to 4.8.9.
With the old version, people in our domain can view and can share the

Can not the configuration of the recycle bin be done with the active

user that had deleted a folder, what other parameters are necessary so that
they are shown of all the users who deleted some file or folder?

I am struggling to solve this problem.
My file server Samba 4.4.5.
Even the administrator user (domain admin) could not write to the share.
Could someone give me a hint, in order to solve this problem?

permission problem with vfs object recycle:directory_mode
Well,
Despite I've recently answered about vfs object recycle on this list,
it seems that it isn't working as excepted.
Using Samba 4.4.5, compiled from sources
Here is the conf for a share:
[musique]
path = /media/data/musique
read only = No
vfs objects = acl_xattr recycle
recycle:directory_mode = 0770
recycle:subdir_mode = 0700

Enable Recycling
So I've added the following information to my smb.conf in the general
section based off various information on the internet, but primarily from here:
http://timtrott.co.uk/enabling-recycle-bin-functionality-samba/
Nonetheless when I delete files from any shares they are not sent to
Recycling. What am I missing?
