Finally I solved it.
First of all, I had to set the USB drive as a `Managed partition' from the
router web GUI. Secondly, its right address was `//192.168.1.2/Shared' and not

Deletion of destination files
Hi to all rsync users.
rsync's `--delete' option works fine in the following example: I'm sending all
the content of /home/rodolfo from machine1 to /home/rodolfo in machine2:
$ rsync --dry-run -vrtul --delete --exclude='/.*' . 192.168.0.2:/home/rodolfo
, and --delete works perfectly. Instead, in this other example:
$ rsync --dry-run -vrt --delete --modify-window=1 file1

Wine doesn't write in the USB pendrive
Hi, Everybody.
I have tried to update Portable Firefox to the last version (v. 9) at home, in order I could get the latest one to use also at Office (where I don't have Administrator rights, neither can install Firefox 'natively'...); however, after reinstalling Wine 32 in my personal machine (running Mageia), Wine doesn't recognize the USB Pendrive ans 'writeable', then

Multiboot pendrive with GPT - a tricky solution which could improve syslinux behavior
Hello!
I'm posting some experiences with GRUB0/1 + sys/extlinux + MBR/GPT in a
pendrive with 15 partitions. This could be helpful improving
sys/extlinux.
I did make a bootable pendrive with 14 distros using a GPT partition
table and a tricky solution to let sys/extlinux boot from every
partition chainloaded from GRUB (GRUB0 or GRUB1).
Having a MBR schema, sys/extlinux can't be

Problem with 2GB USB Pendrive
Hi, i'm trying to create an ubuntu live-pendrive using this tutorial
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2007/02/12/usb-ubuntu-tutorial-for-linux-users/
I have a 2GB USB Pendrive. When I insert the pendrive, /var/log/messages
says:
kernel: usb 5-5: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 35
kernel: usb 5-5: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
kernel: scsi13 : SCSI emulation for USB

USB Pendrive automounting
My USB Pendrive gets mounted everytime I put it on the USB port (/dev/sda on
/media/usbdisk). This behaviour is the desired.
Now I want the OS to automaticaly include the mount option
iocharset=iso8859-1 everytime it mounts it.
Is there a way to tell haldaemon (or other software) do this, instead of
hand-editing /etc/fstab ?

USB pendrive with IsoHybrid don't boot on MacBook Pro (EFI)
I'm developing my own Linux-kernel OS
(https://github.com/NodeOS/NodeOS) and I have been able to build a
live ISO using IsoHybrid. Point is, it doesn't work on my MacBook Pro
(Quad-core, 2.66GHz, 8GB), only on BIOS-based PCs. rEFInd show a new
"Legacy OS" entry for the pendrive, but after some seconds it shows
the "Not found Operating System -- Insert boot disk and press any

Install from USB Pendrive
I would like to take a USB pen drive and make it CentOS 4.2 install cdrom 1. I have found the boot image for USB drives or floppies but I want to make my pen drive Install CD 1. I have looked around and the closest thing I have found is a how to for Debian but I can't seem to figure out how to adapt it to what I want to do. Any help or links would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Chris
