Samba 4.5.8-Debian User Profiles on NFS-Share
Hello, again I'd like to get help from this list. After setting up the server, I'd like to store data an user profiles on an nfs-server. The share is writeable by the user, I can create files and directories. But - by syncing the user profile to that share i stops, telling me that my user profile is only synced partly. unable to upload printer driver
Hi Achim, thank you for your effort! I did a couple of tests, from W8.1 with x64 driver which where rather old and therefore disignated for W7x64. But this went stale as well. Therefore I'll give it a try by using a W7-WS for uploading the drivers. Franz >>> Achim Gottinger <achim at ag-web.biz> 06.06.2017 15:27 >>> Hmm after another try an windows 7 client 32 and

Samba 4.5.8-Debian User Profiles on NFS-Share
Hi Loius, thank your for the repository! I was exactly searching for this via google... Despite the fact that I can configure the services in 4.2.14 on jessie, I guess it could be wise to go for a fresh, up-to-date Version of Debian and Samba ;-) Enjoing all the options and features included. I really appreciate your work! Franz >>> L.P.H. van Belle <belle at bazuin.nl>

Hello Franz, Out of curisoity I tried to install the old Kyocera Universal drivers we use since a few years on an other samba server (4.6.5). Found the old version here https://www.rz.uni-osnabrueck.de/fileadmin/user_upload/Campuscard/Drucken/Treiber/win8/KyoceraClassicUniversalDriversCertified130315.zip. It also fails now and the OEMSETUP.INF file also contains an

[EXTERNAL] Could not access a share as a guest
Hi Ashok, That solved this issue and moved ahead of that IPC$ share access issue. Thanks for that. Now, I am seeing the below error. Please note I am new to samba world. Pardon me if I am asking for more. Meanwhile I too will check smb.conf online doc and my smb.conf for any conflicting configurations. In an AD environment one may also sign an modified driver package https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/eb9b35a3-64e9-4cd4-8393-9d8f5966f9c2 and deploy the certificate via an GPO https://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/library/cc770315(v=ws.10).aspx Am 07.06.2017 um 14:48 schrieb Achim Gottinger via samba: > Hello Franz, > > Out of curisoity I tried to install the old Kyocera

Call recording - posible to remove recorded file at the end of the call
I m recording every call, and i want to remove the recorded call at the end of call, when the callee doesn't want the call beeing recorded. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction, having agents with callbacklogin and recording enabled in agents.conf. So if the callee doesn't want the recording, the agents is pressing 0 for deleting the file or 1 for leave the file stored.

Corrupt .RData
I'm using R 1.3.1 on a Windows NT 4.0 machine. As you might guess my machine crashes on me from time to time :-| So far, forcing a reboot via the Taskmanager has worked reasonably well: any open R session would enquire politely whether to save, and do so if requested. This time, it has not worked out. I get a 'Fatal Error: unable to restore saved data in .RData' message and R

Thanks to Loius and Rowland, this howto guided me a lot in the right direction: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Samba_as_a_Domain_Member But right now I'll get stuck. It seems that the configuration is ok -

Use ACL over NFS4
I have an NFS4 server exporting a folder, and a Samba server importing that folder which it then turns around and shares over Samba. I would like Windows machines accessing this folder and its sub folders to be properly restricted according to ACLs. The NFS4 server is running CentOS 5.7 and is NFS exporting an EXT4 folder. The Samba server is running CentOS 6.0, and Samba 3.5.4-68.el6_0.2. On the
