Purge Trash Fileserver
Thanks for the answer.
The problem that this way is pretty much the same as my find.
I want you to be able to delete the file based on the date they were
sent to the bin. As I gave in the example:
The file has not been changed since 2015, when it is deleted now in
2017, it goes to the bin, dated 2015, when the find pass will erase, why
it does not validate when it has been deleted, but the

After update from 3.5.x to 3.6.23 all printers configured in CUPS they are no longer shared
After update my PDC server from Centos 5.5 to 5.11 and then samba 3.5
to 3.6.22 all work fine, except printers: all CUPS printers shared are
not visible and usable from clients.
If I put manually each printer (like suggest here[1]) into smb.conf,
all printers manually added are visible and usable (this is my
workaround for now).
In smb.conf I have set:
load printers = yes

Samba 4 PDC and Windows Join
As far as i know, as of samba 4, i dont do any registry changes anymore.
And thinking.. even with samba 3 i did not set these on my win 7 systems.
I still have few win 7 pc's connect to samba 3.6 PDC, without registry changes.
But it all depends on correct dns / dns domainname /wins settings.
( for samba also, i always use "dns proxy = yes" )
If these arent correct, then the

[Samba-it] samba 4.x: centos 7: Bad SMB2 signature for message
Try again and add :
winbind refresh tickets = yes
winbind offline logon = yes
if that does not work, i really suggest you upgrade to samba 4.2+
or set the pc's to use a "lower" SMB prototol.

A --exclude-checksum option?
Hi,
I use rsync with hardlinks for backup, once a week doing checksums
to ensure there's no filesystem corruption in the
backed-up data.
I also use tmpwatch, or something similar, to clean up /tmp,
it removes files that have not been accessed recently.
(atime older than some configured limit).
I backup /tmp because I throw stuff in tmp that
I might possibly need again but don't want to

converting MASQ from ipchains
Hello,
on my old system I''m using ipchains. Can anyone help me with converting rule
/sbin/ipchains -A forward -j MASQ -s source_addr -d destination_addr 443 -p tcp
to shorewall. I know that I can write
eth0 source_addr
to /etc/shorewall/masq file
but I can''t found where I can specify the destination address.
The reason for this is to allow one user (computer) access only to
