Schema Mismatch with Server 2008 RC
I have also experienced this issue. Additionally, new objects created in AD would show up on both the S4 DCs (4.5.x) and the Server2008R2 DC, but the password would not sync between them in either direction after the initial join replication. Replication issues between Samba 4.10.2 (schema mismatch)
Hello, I?m getting some replication errors between Samba and Windows Server2008R2: Last attempt @ 2019-08-02 11:34:51 was delayed for a normal reason, result 8418 (0x20e2): The replication operation failed because of a schema mismatch between the servers involved. If I create new users on the Samba side, they no longer show up on the Windows 2008R2 Server LDAP instance. Would anyone be

Schema Change Breaks Replication
I believe a schema change on a Windows DC (2008rc) has broken replication with our S4 DCs. Anyone have any tips or pointers to resolve this? I have three S4 DCs [CentOS6] and one Windows 2008R2 DC. The Windows 2008R2 DC has the schema master FSMO, and I believe the Exchange schema was added. I am willing to pay US dollars to get this issue resolved. I need the replication restored, the

Possible problems with AD Schema in Samba 4
Hi, I found that the base of Samba 4 DC is different from the base of Windows Server 2008 DC. There are many mistakes when I make the comparison as the result as follows (only parts of reult): samba-tool ldapcmp ldap://WINDC1 ldap://SAMBA4-DC -Uadministrator Password for [EMPRESA\administrator]: * Comparing [DOMAIN] context... * DN lists have different size: 1787 != 1788 * DNs found only in

Internal DNS CNAME not working
Samba 4.0.0 I am running all of these commands from the PDC DC1. /etc/resolv.conf domain mydomain.com nameserver 127.0.0.1 smb.conf does have a dns forwarder = 192.168.1.2 samba-001 the actual host name, and also a PDC, in the same domain. I would like to have the alias my-server point to samba-001. I added a CNAME record: bin/samba-tool dns add 127.0.0.1 mydomain.com my-server CNAME

P-value and R-squared variable selection criteria
Hi R community I have a question. I'll explain my situation. I have to build a climate model to obtain monthly and annual temperature from 2004 to 2008 from a specif area in Almeria (Spain). To build this climate model, I will use Multiple regression. My dependant variable will be monthly and annual temperature and independant variables will be Latitute, Longitude and Altitude and I will work

ldapcmp issue
Hi all, It seems "samba-tool ldapcmp" does not support too much items in Samba's database. Playing for a while with DB I was never able to run ldapcmp successfully. So yesterday I installed a platform to fill piece by piece my two small DCs and to run ldapcmp. The process follows. Test platform: 2 DCs using Debian 8.1 "net install" with only system tools, up to date,

samba-tool ldapcmp without --filter errors out.
Hai, ? I've just upgrade samba on my DC's from 4.10.10 to 4.11.2. Which went fine offcourse ;-) but when i checking my replications i noticed the following. ? If people have problems upgrading, the steps to take are : ( Debian buster, samba upgrade 4.10=> 4.11 van-belle repo. ) # update 4.10 to 4.11 sed 's/410/411/g'? /etc/apt/sources.list.d/van-belle.list apt update apt

ldapcmp issue
Hi Mourik, whenChanged was replicated in my test once I did replicate in both way, so it seems to me it is supposed to be replicated... Then the fact it is not always replicated seems to me an issue. Perhaps a bug report for these two issue (whenChanged not always replicated and ldapcmp hanging once DB is too much filled) would be the right way to proceed... Cheers, mat 2015-09-03 10:42

dsdb_access Access check failed on CN=Configuration
All- I've got 3 DCs (version 4.9.6-12) that, prior to today, were running without issue (as best I could tell). Every night I run a few commands to monitor the status of the DCs/domain. I run: * dbcheck --cross-ncs * samba-tool drs kcc <other DCs> * samba-tool ldapcmp <local DC> <other DCs> (domain|configuration|schema|dnsdomain|dnsforest) * samba-tool drs showrepl These

4.9.12 operation unavailable without authentication
I have Samba in production (4.9.6-12 on Ubuntu 18.04) which is working well. However, we are several releases behind so I am gearing up to upgrade to the latest 4.9 release. As part of the preparations (and for other reasons), I spun up an upgraded DC cluster in our development environment (4.9.12-15 on Ubuntu 18.04). The initial setup seemed to work and now I have two DCs that appear to be

One DC cannot authenticate off of another DC
Hello Samba Friends, I have a single DC (we'll call it, "DC1") that simply will not take my password when I run this command:? #samba-tool ldapcmp ldap://dc2 ldap://dc3 -Uadministrator? Or this command:? #samba-tool ldapcmp ldap://dc1 ldap://dc2 -Uadministrator? I basically get this:? > Password for [SAMDOM\administrator]:? > Password for [SAMDOM\administrator]:?

ldapcmp failures between DC's
I am in the process of preparing to demote a couple of (hardware) aging domain controllers. At moment, I have four DC's running on my domain. When I "ldapcmp" between any of the DC's I get failures that appear to be simple "typos". Like these: root at dtdc07:~# samba-tool ldapcmp ldap://dtdc03 ldap://dtdc07 -Uadministrator >>>>> snipped for brevity
