Lots of RPC-related compile errors (conflicting types, too many arguments, ...) trying to update Samba from 3.5 to 4.6
Hello Samba experts, due to the "SambaCry" issue (CVE-2017-7494), I am trying to update the Samba server installation on my Thecus NAS (dating back to 2011) from version 3.5.16 to the current 4.6.4. So far, I have successfully * created a cross-compiling toolchain for the NAS (i686-nptl-linux-gnu) based on gcc-5.2 * compiled Python and Samba library dependencies for my

Samba 4.2.0rc4 can't authenticate users
This problem shows up on both Linux and Solaris. I am going to show the logs from a Fedora 2.6.25-14.fc9.i686 machine. We are using 'security = domain' with a Windows 2000 domain controller. We are setting 'password server = starfish2' dispite the fact that the documentation says that this in not necessary as we have found it to be necessary. We are setting 'workgroup =

2nd try: Lots of RPC-related compile errors (conflicting types, too many arguments, ...) trying to update Samba from 3.5 to 4.6
Hello again, Samba experts, sorry for being such a pain in your necks, but I really need to get a recent Samba version to compile, and it looks like I definitely need your help with this. In the meantime, I have found that the huge number of "conflicting types" errors for rpc_*_init(...) is due to the fact that the Samba 4.6.4 codebase seems to have for all RPC modules: NTSTATUS

intervals on plot
Dear all R users I have been trying to plot a group of intervals by using the bottom code: > breaks <- factor(cut(col3,breaks=360+5*(0:155))) > par(tck=0,lty="solid") > plot(breaks, ann=FALSE,axes=FALSE) col3 is just a column of 1500 floating point data. Unfortunately when i do the plot, the x-axis has some of the intervals as labels dispite me having both 'ann'

MANAGESIEVE patch v2
Hello Timo, Dispite the heat out here, I managed to come up with a new version of the managesieve patch for dovecot-1.0rc2: - Fixed the bug (missing CRLF) in the authenticate command - Modified the sieve storage library making the interface much less crude. - The scripts put on the server using the putscript command are now checked before they are accepted. - The reported SIEVE capability is
