This is correct >>that gpupdate tries to copy somethings from \\cch.intra\sysvol and not from \\dc1\sysvol... >>There a no server with name cch.intra, this is just the Realm... No not REALM, but DNSdomain but with the same name as the REALM.   You “should” be able to “ping cch.intra” or browse to \\cch.intra   if not, then your missing dns records.     If you have only

Home directory of AD-User
Hi list! I deleted completely Samba on my Server and reinstalled it again. Now it seems to work, but I have a little problem: if I try to access the home directory of a user and write something, the owner of the created directory/file is a UID, but not the user itself... Could someone help me? This is the definition of the share in my smb.conf: [homes] comment = Home Directories

Problem joining an AD
Hi list! I have a very strange problem... I configured Samba 4.1.6 on a Ubuntu 14.04 Server to act as AD-Controller. It works without any problem. Then I wanted to join the AD two other Servers with Ubuntu 14.04 and Samba 4.1.6. The first works without any problem, the second (same configuration!) not... Here my smb.conf: # Global parameters [global] workgroup = CCH realm =

I found this HowTo: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setup_Samba_as_an_AD_Domain_Member and now it works! I'm puzzled why on other Servers the previous configuration works, but if I have now this Server, too, with a working Samba

Samba as AD-Controller: unable to update policies and call start scripts
Did you try a samba-tool ntacl sysvolreset on the DC? (actually… that almost never fixed anything in my case but why not) You can also dig in the Windows events log which could give you a more detailed error Regards Le 08/04/2016 09:38, Luca Bertoncello a écrit : > Zitat von Sébastien Le Ray <sebastien-samba at orniz.org>: > >>> The very strange thing is, that gpupdate

Different usernames for different login method
Hi again! With Dovecot 2.2.9 authenticating against the Active Directory I have following problem: - if I login using LOGIN, PLAIN or CRAM, the username is REALM\login (in my case: CCH\lucabert) - if I login using GSSAPI, the username is just login (in my case: lucabert) this makes the access to the mailbox very difficult, since I don't what can I write in mail_location... If I login with

Connecting two Asterisk
Hi again! I always try to get my mobile phone work with my Asterisk. I tried to install Asterisk on my PC (with public IP), but it has problems, too... I think, my UMTS-Provider doesn't want to connect to dynamic IP or my DSL-Provider does not want it, too, since I have no problem to connect and get a very good audio quality if I connect to other SIP-Provider or to an Asterisk (SAME
