samba4 ldap high load and port queue overflow
Thanks for answer. I am very sad to see that.
I had examined samba behavior with tracer and had seen too many poll,

samba4 ldap high load and port queue overflow
Hi all.
I have samba 4.2.3 on freebsd 10.1 server. There are three DC and about
350 PC on domain. DCs have 3 CPU and 3GB RAM. Some servers with services
like apache, exim, dovecot, etc use samba4 ldap (port 389) for user
authentication. Some times ago after adding some services to use ldap I
found, that samba4 cannot serve all ldap requests. Every 10-30 minutes I
see in DCs logs:

Hi all.
I have samba 4.2.3 on freebsd 10.1 server. There are three DC and about
350 PC on domain. I wrote earlier that samba4 ldap performance is not
enough for me. Now I want to try a server in the middle with openldap
pcache - ldap cache proxy function. But it only works with appropriate
openldap schema. Where I can find samba4 openldap schema? I'm going to
cache simple queries such as

Bind flat file support
Hi Robert,
It doesn't break compatibility with MS, unless you're talking about the
RSAT DNS tool, which is a lot more cumbersome than a text editor anyway
and it's pretty much assumed that if you're using Samba you're a Linux
sysadmin, so not being able to use the RSAT DNS tool should not be a
problem.
I haven't read Mark Andrew's comment, not being on the Bind

Hi there,
I build a samba 4.0.11 on a Debian Wheezy from source, joined a existing

realm = DOMAIN.local
netbios name = SAMBA1
server role = active directory domain controller

Bind flat file support
Is there any chance that support for Bind flat files will return? I
understand the various (extremely weak) arguments against it but DLZ not
only sucks big time, it limits proper functionality and
inter-operability, necessitating significant design changes for anything
but the simplest of networks. Additionally, it doesn't work with the
existing scripts many people use. I know that

Dynamic DNS Updates not working. samba_dnsupdate : RuntimeError: (sambalist: to exclusive) kinit for [DC@Realm] failed (Cannot contact any KDC for requested realm)
Good morning!
First of all thanks Rowland for the fast answer yesterday! I realized that
samba-technical might have been the wrong mailing list and switched it to
the normal samba users list (hopefully it worked, as it does get a bit
confusing with spamgourmets sendto addresses!). Unfortunately the problem
with samba_dnsupdate remains after the changes.
I did changed the smb.conf, krb5.conf, and

cannot update W7 or linux clients
First, I am sorry. I should know this by now.
Last week had an issue with W7 client could not update. I made some
adjustments to get W7 updated. Now I am having an issue with update
resolution. (Run apt-get update and repositories cannot be find, etc.)
So, this tells me that I have messed up my dns resolution.
All clients (W7 & linux) point to my DC for DNS nameserver.
All clients (W7
