The goal we want to achieve is to install a configuration for a lot of users (about 100 000) with one master domain. So we thought that it may be possible to have a principal domain and several slave domains. If this configuration can't be considered, we want to know if it's a feature that we could

Recommended stations on a server and slave domain controller
Hello Marc, Thank you for your answer. About multiple DCs in one domain, Do you have any documentation or a link that could explain us how to make this type of architecture ? As I told you, the final aim is to have more than 100 000 users in one domain, is this a mistake to use a single master DC ? If we can't do this, is there a special feature to develop to make this infrastructure

virsh dom state
Hi there, I'm running KVM under Openstack . When I give virsh list command, I see some VM in NON persistent state. What does it mean? How can I move it to a persisten state ? I found that I cannot make a snapshot, from Openstack , of a machine which is in a NON PERSISTENT state. Regards Fiorenza -- Spazio Web S.r.l. V. clim.pact: change group of stations object into a field
Hello, I have a question about one of the functions from package clim.pact. I am planning to perform canonical correlation analysis (CCA) with temperature stations data, I want to use clim.pact package for that. As I understood I should be able to use the function stations2field in order to group my stations objects into a field, so that I can include the result in CCA analysis. If I have

Windows stations don't recognize each other

AD username change in Linux Stations
Hello folks! I have some linux stations which authenticate in a MS AD server. We had to change the usernames accounts, but the SID remains the same. When I logon with the new account name, another home folder is created. Is there any way to point the new account name to the old folder name preserving the user files and confs? Thanks so much for the help. Best regards, -- *TĂșlio Henrique Alves

Some Ubuntu stations can't logon when I upgraded Samba DC
Hi: I have two DCs with debian 10 and Samba 4.7.4 working find. In my network, I have different OSs workstations: W7, W10, Ubuntu and Mint. They have been log-in every day without problem. And samba-tool dbcheck returns no error on both DCs. As the Samba version is too old, I wanted to upgrade first from 4.7.4 to 4.7.12 using the source code. ./configure make make install Just as I did
