[PATCH] core/lwip: Avoid immediate reuse of UDP port numbers
The UDP binding logic will reuse local port numbers immediately. This causes problems for TFTP, which assumes a very low probability of a source port number being reused. The consequence is that lpxelinux.0 may end up downloading an incorrect file (e.g. attempting to download pxelinux.cfg/default but actually receiving a copy of ldlinux.c32, due to the port number having been reused). [IANA #1182277] Port Number (3493) Modification
I would like to suggest that if we modify the IANA registration of nut/3493, we do it formally using the official IANA form https://www.iana.org/form/ports-services , and that we agree on the form contents before submitting it. For example, who is the new assignee and who is the new contact? The last thing the IANA services manager needs is to talk to an unstructured crowd of us. Roger On

Firewalls and ports and protocols
Reading the documentation there is conflicting information: According to https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/GlusterFSonCentOS we only need port TCP open between 2 GlusterFS servers: Ports TCP:24007-24008 are required for communication between GlusterFS nodes and each brick requires another TCP port starting at 24009. [IDEA] Shared Folders via LDAP Lookups
Hi All, We've been thinking a lot about the 2 different ways dovecot implements shares; namespaces and symlinks. We currently use the symlink version for our clients and they use the create_dovecot_shares.pl tool we did at: http://dovecot.org/tools/ Our idea is either in the namespace declaration or if a folder has a dovecot-shared file/symlink, have a ldap lookup defined in say,

standalone ADDC with samba_internal dns backend - windows client do not register in dns
good lords of Kobol, that solved my problem ! thank you very much ! As we can consider this as an official workaround, should it be in the wiki ? (this is definitively in my docs now :) On 05/04/2016 07:55 PM, lingpanda101 at gmail.com wrote: > On 5/4/2016 5:02 AM, David STIEVENARD wrote: >> Hi >> >> first project with samba, first post on this mailing list and, >>

samba ADDC dns setup? ( this is same for any MS server )
Hai eveyone.   I know about the dns "things" in the past. DNS Islanding problems etc. This one is a bit hijacking the subject : “Horrible BIND9_DLZ DNS breakage after DC replaced and samba-tool domain demote --remove-other-dead-server”     I would like to suggest a smale change in how we suggest to setup samba ADDC dns things, and i do think this help in the setup of the AD

IPv4...NAT...etc
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2003-March/008088.html "why is there such a delay in getting ipv6 rolled out when it solves all these problems ?" === There are many reasons... 1. Leasing Address Space from the I* society (small s...aka the Big Lie Society) is not desirable by all people... 2. The IPv6 Privacy Problem...that is especially important in the area of computer

Paranoid Firewalling
After reading this article: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/08/31/blocking_chinese_ip_addresses/ I got to thinking that there is really no reason for *any* traffic to hit my servers that comes from anywhere outside North America. So I wrote the perl script at the end of this posting to extract selected IP ranges posted at iana.org and convert them into iptables rules blocking any traffic

firewalld services to open for an ADDC
Hai, If you use that or the AD, then its incomplete, imo. Your missing ldaps (636) and the GC (ssl) 3268/3269) ports and maybe NTP (123/tcp) if installed. Maybe you dont need them, just an observation.
