Im did not follow the complete thread, but you can check the following.

idmap config *:backend = tdb
idmap config *:range = 50001-80000
## map ids from the domain the range may not overlap !
idmap config DOMAIN:backend = ad
idmap config DOMAIN:schema_mode = rfc2307
idmap config DOMAIN:range = 10000-40000

extended acl support that I'm missing somewhere.
It's like the setfacl command is not recognizing the AD groups as valid
groups.
I should also add the following information:
This server is built up on CentOS 6.6 Minimal using the Sernet-Samba
Enterprise packages.
It looks like the binary that is running is

New production system - a couple of issues hope you can help
Set up a samba 4 DC everything there seems fine.
Set up a member server according to this article: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setup_a_Samba_AD_Member_Server
The setup went fine - also set up a home share according to this: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_a_home_share
I'm using sernet-samba-ad for the domain controller and sernet-samba-winbind for the member server both

Hai Rich,
Your output of ipconfig /all
Where are these?
Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
DNS Suffix Search List. . . . . . :
This one is below in the output.
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Verify above again, if these 3 are all there and set to webb.local
Then try this : in you network settings, disable ipv6
Beside ipv6 and the 2 missing outputs, i see the same here on my pc.

Firstly, it is a 'DC' not a 'PDC', there really is no concept of a
Primary Domain Controller in active directory, other than one of the
FSMO roles. These FSMO roles are the only differences between DCs ,
other than this, all DCs are the same (or should)
You do not join a DC to the domain

Looks like that worked but the UIDs probably need to be mapped more
appropriately - how do I take care of that?
getent group "domain users"
