[Announce] Samba 4.1.19 Available for Download
I show the file size as 19M on the FTP site. 95MB is the gunzipped size. I suspect something unzipped it as it downloaded, I've seen browsers do that. I also pulled the file personally, and found the sizes lined up: ira at ira-t430:~/Downloads [/dev/pts/1](64/0)$ ls -la samba-4.1.19.tar.gz -rw-rw-r--. 1 ira ira 19558250 Jun 23 20:16 samba-4.1.19.tar.gz ira at ira-t430:~/Downloads

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-input-libinput 0.27.1
Just one bugfix, a regression introduced by the new property handling in 0.27.0 caused the property to toggle left-handed to not be initialized on all devices that required it. Evangelos Foutras (1): Fix "left handed" property not set on all pointers Peter Hutterer (1): xf86-input-libinput 0.27.1 git tag: xf86-input-libinput-0.27.1

[PATCH 0/2] A few Arch Linux specific changes
I''m attaching a few changes that are specific to Arch Linux and are motivated by our recent switch to systemd. System V init scripts are no longer used/supported on Arch Linux and, therefore, the Arch Linux init scripts can be removed from Shorewall. The two patches that follow are based against master; if it''s possible to apply them to the upcoming Shorewall 4.5.13 as well,

problem with winbind and Sun PCNetlink
Sun PCNetlink is a NT4.0 PDC emulator. I'm running samba-3.0.13, joined to an ADS server that has a trust with a PCNetlink domain. My samba can authenticate fine against ADS accounts, but refuses to authenticate against the PCNetlink domain. I can do getent passwd "ADSDOM\user" and get an ADS user printed out, but if I use getent passwd "NT4DOM\user" nothing

Date Format
Hi everybody, I need your precious help for, I think, a simple request, but I do not manage to solve this. When I use a "table" function with dates in the rows, the rows are coerced to number after the table function. So I need to transform the row names into date format. But I do not manage. Therefore, for an example, I manage to write this : datetest<-"06/01/2001"

Question on number of processes engendered by BDRb
I have two workers (ie two files in my RAILS_ROOT/lib/workers directory) on my Rails app. When I run a top on my box, I see *three* processes called packer_worker_r. Shouldn''t I just be having two? What is the third process for? Here is an extract of the output from my top command. The PIDs are 7084, 7085 and 7083. ============================================ PID USER PR NI VIRT

a strange behavior on a small memory system with tun0
Hello I am using openssh as vpn on a router with freewrt.org and rsync to sync my local data to a remote server. Everything works fine for me so far. The only problem is that the channel-1 (tun0) goes down on the router after 50-200MB transfered via tun0 or after 5-20 hours only with a ping to the server . Channel-0 is still working. Tcpdump shows that a ping from the router to the server via

Ubuntu packages problems
Hello, I am trying to run guestfish on Ubuntu Natty, but although I followed the README and tried the kernel permissions workaround from here ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/759725 ), I am still having problems when running libguestfs-test-tool as root (see attached). Am I doing something wrong? Thank you, Vangelis -------------- next part -------------- An embedded and

Weird behaviour between Windows Vista & Windows 7 VPN - can anyone help?
I am trying to connect a Windows Vista (Home) machine to a Windows 7 (Office) machine. I set up the tinc config files normally, and I am able to see the Vista (Home) machine from the Window 7 (Office) machine, but I cannot seem to do the reverse. I am beginning to wonder if this might be a known issue that someone has seen before. My configuration is as follows: Office PC
