curiosity: are there routers out there supporting tinc natively? for a typical host -connectTo-> mainTincBoxes I use Railtrack https://github.com/JeevesTakesOver/Railtrack however it looks to me that your question was more about orchestration, python fabric or ansible are probably your best options for this task On Thu, 29 Mar 2018 at 09:40, al so <volkswak at gmail.com> wrote:

Problem with connecting another subnet (Peter Thurner)
Peter, I think I agree with your answers to my comments. But it is so difficult to track the questions and answers when written! I've created a network diagram of my setup, and it may help!I'll attached the PDF to this email, but it might get stripped. If so, do email me directly. John   1. problem with connecting another subnet (destination net unknown)
Hello tinc mailing list! Nice to be accepted here :) So I've been using tinc for a while just for itself and now I would like to use it to route to another network. To be exact I have two tinc networks with a "central node" that is connected to both tincs: tiutl: 172.16.0.0/24 tiosp: 172.16.1.0/24 I'm doing that because I can then do fancy firewalling on that central node.

C7 ansible 2.3 become_method: su not working
I just don't know what else to try. I've beat my head on this for 3 days now and it's becoming obvious that either Ansible 2.3 is a complete disaster, or the CentOS 7 package is a complete cluster. Here's my problem. I am working on getting an ansible server to manage about 100 or so CentOS 6 servers. All have an unprivileged user account setup (up to 3 years before I got

How to automatically confirm importing repo key?
Hi, I'm trying to set up provisioning LXC container running CentOS. And among other things, I need to install nginx + passenger from a non-official repo (the docs: https://www.phusionpassenger.com/library/install/nginx/install/oss/el7/). With this playbook: - hosts: all tasks: # https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/yum_repository_module.html - name: Add repository yum_repository:

Suggestions for Config Management Tool
As others have said, in the end, it's a matter of personal preference (e.g. vim or emacs). You could spend a week reading articles and forum discussions comparing all the different tools; but until you've really used them, it will mostly be an academic exercise. Of course, the particulars of your environment might naturally lend itself to one tool or the other, so it's certainly

tinc mesh setup
I admit that I am not familiar with Tinc very well but see that Tinc is running their current vpn connections. We have a scenario that has 20 different sites currently and successfully using tinc on openwrt but I am having issues adding an additional site as it will not communicate with the rest. I am not the one that originally setup the system but that person is no longer available. I have

Problem with connecting another subnet
Hello Peter, Your question is similar to my recent question, and I have a similar Ping problem. But yours, with two Tinc networks, is more complex than mine. All I can say, and I hope it helps, is that in my case I have found my Ubuntu Tinc Server nodes do not like being specified as a address on the same network as the local LANsSo I have a specific network for the Tinc Server nodes, and in this

tinc connectTo cleanup
thanks Guus for the quick response. I am using tinc 1.1 if I use AutoConnect = yes then will it automatically remove connections that are no longer in use? What are the security issues with 'AutoConnect = yes' I should be worried? for my use case I might go upto 20 to 30 + tinc hosts connected to single tinc box. as per the doc AutoConnect = yes is experimental, I am using it in our
