switch mode, how to give a public IP behing a NAT
Hi all, I use tinc since 2 years between my MPLS sites in router mode, works like a charm. Today i am trying to make an ethernet bridge beetween 2 sites for video conference needs, the raison is that 1 side is behind nat, and i dont have access on the gate, other side is on public range. Because off H323 that doesn't handle unconfigured NAT, i would like to give a public IP to the video

My mail came fine and I though there was not problem until a user called and said it was not working through webmail. I tried, it it worked fine and I realized the problem was with dovecot. I have created new users, tried different UIDs. Removed any protections but when I telnet to the

High tinc traffic on ethernet without tinc load
Hi everybody, I am operating a tinc network with nearly 200 peers connected over the internet. Some peers are permanently connected and offer a public, fixed IP ("servers") while others are behind NAT firewalls ("clients") and connect to the former primarily. Unfortunately, sometimes (~ once a day) the traffic on the ethernet links seems to explode way beyond whats normal

Multicast (ICMP6 router solicitation) flood
Hello, I am a happy user of tinc in multiple environments. It is beautiful - thank you! Today I noticed that a network of around 20 nodes suffered from a flood of packages like the following: IP6 fe80::e4eb:74b6:57e0:c3e1 > ff02::2: ICMP6, router solicitation, length 8 For the first ten hours these nodes (even the usually completely idle ones) have seen incoming traffic of around 1 MBit/s

Pre-merge clang-format linter failing
Hi all, I've noticed several patches that were updated overnight UK time where the following message was produced by the Phabricator linter check: "clang-format-diff not found in user's PATH; not linting file." I'm guessing that something has gone wrong on whatever bot does this? James -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

The reconnect timer can be adjusted in 1.0.31?
Hi, When the meta connection get lost, it’ll be reconnect like below: Trying to re-establish outgoing connection in 5 seconds, and if it’s failed, then the timer will be increased for another try. My question is, how to adjust the reconnect timer, in some cases, the reconnect delay for a while(increase to something longer) will be beneficial for the unstable connection.

Help with "non-integer #successes in a binomial glm"
Hi, I had a logit regression, but don't really know how to handle the "Warning message: non-integer #successes in a binomial glm! in: eval(expr, envir, enclos)" problem. I had the same logit regression without weights and it worked out without the warning, but I figured it makes more sense to add the weights. The weights sum up to one. Could anyone give me some hint? Thanks a lot!

Tinc clients behind a NAT, tunnels get unstable
Hi, I'm running some tinc clients behind a NAT (masquerading, Cisco Router) connecting to a host outside on a public IP in a different network. The tunnels get unstable every few minutes and I see packet loss when pinging the clients on their internal tunnel IPs from the host side. Before putting the tinc clients behind the NAT they were running on public IPs too (clients and host in

Don't wait too much time (for tincd)
Hi! I'm in China now and my Internet connexion is very bad. I ever use the best ADSL provider that I can have. In some case (often), the connexion is lost. At the first time, tincd will wait few time and retry. But, this delay is increased if the connexion can't be made... so, it's quicker to kill tincd and restart it. How it possible to make tincd restart if the connexion
