You mean inside network? No, nothing is blocked inside, and nothing
specifically blocks fragmented on outside routes (unless providers
messing with traffic).

AutoCad and ArcView
Hello all,
Just curious if anyone else has a SAMBA server that is serving up
AutoCad and ArcView files to users on Windows.
We are utilizing a RAID 5 setup on dual 2.8 GHZ
4 GB RAM
Intel Controller card (all latest firmware, BIOS etc...etc..)
Only 4 users are accessing the server, but it seems after a few days the
server starts to choke up, lock files, and it causes a hardware issue.

Trying CUDA/OpenCL with VGA Passthrough
Hi everyone,
First post, already a call for help :)
I''m trying to use a gtx 580 with Xen 4 VGA Passthrough to test CUDA
performances, the MB is an Asus P7P55 LX with a i7 870, VT-D is enabled
in bios and reported as active by Xen.
I''m using Debian Squeeze as Dom0 and DomU OS.
Dom0 is configured with iommu=1 and iommu=verbose parameters and

CentOs 6 is great, but I would like to get back 2 things from 5.6 :
how can I always see the text lines during startup? (so no graphical
screen )
how can I *not *see all the users on the system when loging on? (so that
users also have to remember their username)
thanks for any advise.

Applications on different deskops at startup
Hi,
I've just converted my laptop to Centos 6 from Fedora ( gnome 3 made
the latest fedora unusable ) and I have one problem.
I have several desktops with applications running on them, mainly
terminals. At login all the terminals start on desktop 1. How do I get
them to start on the desktop they were running on at logoff. That's how
it worked on Fedora 13/14 so it must be popssible

TCP/UDP broken checksums redux (with UDP workaround)
Hello,
A little informal input on the TCP/UDP checksum deferral/offload: it
fails for me.
I have one Xen host, running a snapshot of xen-unstable at 2006-03-24
(9435:11fee62328cc). Each of its domUs are allocated their own /30,
with the help of a hacked-up vif script.
Prior to working around the problem, Domain-0 could establish TCP
connections to other domains. In the case of SSH, it would

ssh over udp (or: -L option listening for traffic with a UDP service?)
All,
A bit of background: I work on a QA API on a network that is very choppy (a
lot of network interrupts), and we use ssh to do a large part of this
automation.
This leads to some problems: ssh connections seem to be sensitive to
network state, becoming unusable if the choppiness reaches a certain
threshold, and either timing out or disconnecting if this happens.
Anyways, I stumbled across

Memory leak on tinc
Hi guys,
Second question for me today:), really appreciate the help.
I have been using tinc in a linux environment, due to our need, I kept it
running all the time.(i.e. several months)
Recently I found out the system's memory usage is gradually going higher
and higher, and eventually
triggering oom-killer in the system.
After disabling process one by one, I identified tinc is the reason for

R scripting patches for R-1.7.0
I've patched R so that it can be used as a scripting language, i.e.
you can (on Unix-like systems) write files containing R code
and execute them non-interactively, e.g.:
#!/usr/local/lib/R/bin/R.bin --script
cat("Hello World!\n")
I've updated the patches for R-1.7.0; if you're interested in the
patches, e-mail me at mckay@gmr.com, and I'll send them to you.

UDP Trackers
Hi,
I''ve been making a Ruby bittorrent client using gtk2 and of course
rubytorrent. One snag that I have run into is udp trackers (i.e. udp:// ). I
was just wondering if you have plans to implement this?
Thanks,
Steve
