Make sure your router supports nat reflection and has it enabled. Hallo, As part of building a debian package for my use of tinc 1.1 I run the "make check" testsuites. The current git breaks in invite-join.test: FAIL: invite-join ================= + ../src/tinc --config=/home/haegar/tinc/tinc/test/./invite-join.test.1 --pidfile=/home/haegar/tinc/tinc/test/./invite-join.test.1/pid Generating 2048 bits keys: ...........................+++ p ....+++

New Protocol
Guus: I have been test running the VPN between 2 geographically different clusters on a TINC VPN for a couple of days. How confident are you in the New Protocol in 1.1Pre10? Or should I just play it safe and run the old protocol for production? How long do you think it will take for you to have confidence in the new protocol? When do you think you will gain that confidence? You should be

mixed model MANCOVA
Hello, I need to perform a mixed-model (with nesting) MANCOVA, using Type III sums of squares. I know how to perform each of these types of tests individually, but I am not sure if performing a mixed-model MANCOVA is possible. Please let me know. BindToAddress stopped working in 1.1pre10
Hello, First of all thank you very much for Tinc. I have been using 1.0.24 under Debian & Alpine Linux 32 bit using 'BindToAddress' in tinc.conf without any issues to bind to an IPv6 ULA Address. With 1.1pre10 'BindToAddress' in tinc.conf on the client machines fails with: ============================================================================== tincd 1.1pre10 (Jun

BindToAddress: TCP connections originate from random source address.
Hi, I've stumbled upon a problem which I can't solve easily with the available options in tinc - at least as far as I see. If enlightenment is all I need, I'll happily accept pointers ;) I try to establish a connection between two hosts. Each host has multiple addresses assigned to it's internet interface. A stripped down list would be: Host 1: 2001:780:0:1e::1

R package compilation: files in src directory should be ignored if C library is not available
I have written an R package which contains C source code (in the directory pkg/src). Only a subset of the functions in the pkg/R directory contain a .C() call to the functions in the pkg/src directory. The rest of the package will still work and be useful without the functions containing a .C() call. To compile the code in pkg/src requires the GSL library. This is detailed in the

Exposing extra subnet via Tinc
Hi! I'm currently using Tinc to create a VPN between a Linux server, a Windows server, and my local laptop and desktop computers (both running Windows). I picked an IP in the 10.123.1.x range for each server, and added something like "Subnet = 10.123.1.1/32" to each host config file. It's working very well! What I'd like to do now is expose an extra subnet to the VPN. The

tinc exit when there is no internet?
Something to add. When this happened, it looks like tinc shutdown gracefully(not seg fault ..), because I can tell tinc-down script got implemented. tinc exit when there is no internet?
Thanks for the reply. I am running tinc (1.0.24) in an embedded linux environment, with a pretty old kernel (2.6). I have let tinc run for almost 24 hours with internet and can't reproduce the issue. Is that possible develop a python version of tinc?
Yes, the current c implement is not so easy to read, very old style! The good part is that the protocol seems very clear:) 2016年12月13日 09:46,"Sven-Haegar Koch" <haegar at sdinet.de>写道: On Tue, 13 Dec 2016, Cong Monkey wrote: > As title, is that possible to develop a python version of tinc, that will > be interesting:) Possible? Sure. Will it be bigger and slower? Sure.

Exposing extra subnet via Tinc
I worked this out - I just had to manually add a route on the Windows machines: route add 192.168.122.0 mask 255.255.255.0 10.123.1.4 (where 10.123.1.4 is the local IP on the Tinc interface) I was hoping that Tinc would automatically configure the routing tables, but configuring it manually is fine. Port used for meta-connection and data transfer
Hi, I see there’re two configuration in tinc: In main configuration: BindToAddress = <address> [<port>] In host configuration: Port = <port> So, let’s say on svr1 /etc/tinc/test/tinc.conf: BindToAddress = ip_addr p1 BindToAddress = ip_addr p2 /etc/tinc/test/hosts/svr1: Port = p1 On the client side c1 /etc/tinc/test/tinc.conf: ConnectTo = svr1 /etc/tinc/test/hosts/svr1:
