tinc using docker containers
I've recently built a docker container to easily install and configure tinc 1.1pre14 in any machine using docker containers. I've created a Github repo in https://github.com/bys-control/docker-tinc I'm working in a WEB based admin interface for managing tinc daemons. Right now it's just a JSON API for tinc, but I'm working in developing the front end. Any

Issue using tinc-vpn on Windows Server 1709 with Docker Overlay Network
I've not had success with using tinc and docker together. I came up against similar problems. Docker iptables in Linux seem quite complicated as well, messing with the network stack. I've seen a few tinc docker images that run tinc as a container - I haven't tried this. Please let us know if you do actually get it working - im very interested to know. Restarting docker daemon fixes network problem inside containers
Hi, We are building docker containers on Centos 7 based machines. Sometimes the docker being built cannot install packages because of some kind of network failure. I just found that restarting the docker container fixes the problems and the builds are successful. Does anyone have a clue what the root cause of this might be? Ta, Andrew

case insensitive file system
We have an application that was build on a windows platform that expects a case insensitive file system. Is there a way to set one up in CentOS? NTFS should work, I think, but I feel uneasy using that under Linux. Russ

Issue using tinc-vpn on Windows Server 1709 with Docker Overlay Network
Hi Marc, A number of bugs have been found and fixed in the code that deals with Windows devices in tinc 1.1: https://github.com/gsliepen/tinc/pull/169 https://github.com/gsliepen/tinc/pull/173 https://github.com/gsliepen/tinc/pull/174 https://github.com/gsliepen/tinc/pull/181 https://github.com/gsliepen/tinc/pull/182 Unfortunately, these fixes have not made it in a tinc 1.1 release yet, but

R patched & devel versions as portable ZIP files
I wonder if it would be possible to provide R patched and development versions for Windows as simple zip files without using any installers. There are more and more free and open source software projects providing such portable versions, among them Python (since V2.5), the new MikTex 2.8, OpenOffice 3, Firefox and Thunderbird, to name a few. Many smaller Windows utilities do the same. When

[CentOS-devel] docker and docker-latest packages on CentOS Virt SIG
Moving this discussion to centos-virt@ as it's upto the SIG to decide on how this moves ahead. I'm hoping to have 2 new koji tag sets: virt7-docker-fedora-* (will have fedora rpms rebuilt) virt7-docker-el-* (will have rhel candidate builds before they are released or land in centos extras) The -el-* repos will help to have Virt SIG as sort of an upstream and early QA for both RHEL and

gigFit problems
Hi, I am having some problems with gigFit and would like confirmation on other platforms; mine is mint; basically Debian. Although I got a good fit for the density function with the GIG equation in another curve fitting program, I would really like to use R's tools for confidence intervals and manipulations; but the problems below make me uneasy. Wine running on Solaris?
Hi guys, has any of you succeeded in compiling and running Wine under Solaris 8? If so, which version? Actually, I've ran through compilation (which itself was uneasy and a bit tricky) but can't run a single application because most of them ends with message like: err:seh:EXC_DefaultHandling Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr dfa4d914 or: err:win32:do_relocations FATAL:

Very basic statistics in R
Dear all, Very simple question, but apparently uneasy to solve in R: I have a sampling of a variable x: (3, 4. 5, 2, ...) I want to know: - the mean <x> -> mean(x) - the uncertainty on <x> -> std.error(x) ? Or sd(x)? - the standard deviation of x -> ? - the uncertainty on the standard deviation -> ? Anyone has an idea? Thanks in advance,

docs update suggestions for docker and related packages
What's the best place to update the docs/howto for docker and related packages on centos? Could I add to http://wiki.centos.org/Cloud/Docker?highlight=(docker) or is this for the rhel-recompiled docker? Also, what about docker-registry? Does that need a new page? -- Lokesh Freenode, OFTC: lsm5 GPG: 0xC7C3A0DD -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Name:
