OT: SASL questions

Yes. Postfix does not care, though I find it is easier to setup and more reliable to use dovecot (I've used both, YMMV). > Are there others? Those are the only two I have used.

Dovecot SASL Client support?
Hi all, I seem to recall mention of SASL client support either being added, but can't remember for sure. The wiki says nothing about Client support (now, or in the future)... http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Sasl So - is there support for it now? If not, is it planned for anytime soon? Thanks, -- Best regards, Charles

Trouble adding sasl support via dovecot
Hello Folks, I've been the admin of a site that uses Postfix with Dovecot on RedHat since, oh, gosh, maybe 1996? It's been a long time. I've never built it from source, though, just used the rpms (and I wonder if maybe that's my problem now). It just works, is reliable, and lets me be a very-part-time administrator. Repeatedly over the last few years I've been asked to have

Command to light MWI on 7940 /7960
We have several agents on queues, and want to indicate to them that they are logged in or logged out. We have tried several different ways, from changing the screen to presenting different service menus, but cannot get anything to be "in their face" (their words, not mine). One of our team has suggested, as the agents do not have voicemail, is to use the MWI on the 7940 phones to

Using Dovecot SASL with postfix
I'm trying to use Dovecot SASL with postfix 2.3.3 and when trying to send mail I get the debug output below. I don't know enough about whats going on to know where the problem is but something clearly is not right. I would send the configurations for postfix and dovecot except they are clearly talking to each other so I kinda doubt its a configuration issue. The machine can afford to be

Dovecot auth patch updated for Postfix 2.3-20051121
Once again I have updated Timo's auth patch for Postfix 2.2.1 to work with a 2.3 snapshot. It applied cleanly and compiled and is running for me, but is not really tested. This is Timo's code, not mine. All I did was manually edit in the rejects from the old patch. Find it here if you're interested: http://www.nodns4.us/postfix-2.3-20051121-dovecot-auth.patch.gz md5sum:

How to assign week numbers to a time-series
Hello everyone, My progress has stalled on finding a way of creating a somewhat complicated variable to add to my existing dataframe and I am hoping one of you could help me out. The dataframe below contains only a fraction of the data of my complete dataframe, but all of the variables. What I want to do is add another variable named 'WEEK' to this dataframe that is assigned 1 for row 1

Multiplying elements of a list by rows of a matrix
Hi all, I have the following code: set.seed(1) x1 <- matrix(sample(1:12), ncol=3) x2 <- matrix(sample(1:12), ncol=3) x3 <- matrix(sample(1:12), ncol=3) X <- list(x1,x2,x3) tt <- matrix(round(runif(5*4),2), ncol=4) Is there a way I can construct a new list where newlist[[i]] = tt[i,] %*% X[[i]] without using a for loop? Each element of newlist will be 3 x 1 vector. Thanks -- Tina

read.table error
R experts, I am working with a fairly large data set comprised of 563 rows by 116 columns including several different modes. I have been unable to read in the data set completely using the read.table function and the RGui (i.e. nearly half the total number of rows are missing from the data set along with the column names). The data does read in fully using Tinn-R's Rterm; however, at several

chan_cap-cm-0.6 deflect support
Hi, I've recently reinstalled a Diva in my asterisk server (alongside a QuadBRI :-) to test the nice features Armin has been adding in chan_capi. The capi.conf format has changed, so my question is how do I define a deflect= statement for different incoming MSN's? I've tried to define a section for each (group of) MSN with a different "deflect". Is that correct? [DIVA1]

Using dovecot auth with Postfix
Attempting to setup smtpd auth for Postfix using the Dovecot authorization unix socket. Some info is at: http://www.postfix.org/SASL_README.html To enable operation when Postfix is chrooted, a method from the reference above is to locate the socket at: /var/spool/postfix/private/auth To do this, I have this configuration in dovecot.conf: # listener sockets will be created by Dovecot's
