lazy expunge folder delete bug
There's a bug in "folder delete" for lazy expunge, type "1 namespace", as descibed on https://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Lazyexpunge
When trying to delete a mailbox that still has messages in it, but that has no EXPUNGED/<name> counterpart, the process hangs after the imap "DELETE" command, and the following appears in the log file after a 60s timeout:

Mysql database synching using mcollective/puppet
Hi,
I was wondering if there was an easy way of managing database schemas and content on different servers using mcollective/puppet
Some of my thoughts are
- since puppet seems to use ruby on rails maybe I can use active record migrations to do this ?(I don''t know much about ruby or rails by the way). One problem I faced when doing something else was that other vendor libraries?

Kernel Panic - Not synching Machine Check
This server was running fedora core 2 till 12/2/2005. It had an
impressive uptime of 180 days or so. On friday I upgraded to CentOS
4.2. After upgrading to CentOS 4.2 this server has been throwing
kernel panics every 10 hours or so.
These are some of the error messages I am getting on the console:

Synching samba passwords to W2k passwords
This is a quick question.....Is there any way to allow W2K users access to
a share on a linux machine without having to have synched passwords
between samba and W2k...(maybe just leave the password field for samba
blank?). A while back we had Novell servers and were constantly worrying
about password synchs, is this going to be the case with RedHat as well?

Group "None" after synching to a windows machine?
Hi,
I'm using cwrsync with rsync 3.0.8 atm and after syncing a file to Strato
HiDrive and back to the local machine the new permissions contain
this entry:
None (UK-DT-01\None)
with Read, Execute; Read and Write (allowed) permissions.
It takes a few seconds before this entry is displayed with this name, in the
meantime it is only a sid (and the user icon has a red question mark in the

Synching between Sqlite and MySql
Hi folks,
I am running an offline Rails app that periodically connects to the
Internet to download the latest catalogue, and upload any new orders.
I am about to implement the synching bit - and was thinking whether
there is any other solution other than writing webservices and code to
do a manual sync of the data, or whether there is a more nifty and
robust way using say replication?
