Error: User bob@aaa.bbb doesn't have home dir set, disabling duplicate database
Yes, that is what I did and it all works apart from the error message on the server about the missing home dir The doc seems to indicate that a home dir is needed. But, are you really sure it is? Can you provide me with the output from `dovecot -n`?

Transitioning away from mail_location = maildir:~
Hi, I have been using this setup for years: mail_home = /var/mail/vhosts/%d/%n mail_location = maildir:~ I have since learned that mail_home and mail_location should be different. I plan to use this: mail_home = /var/mail/vhosts/%d/%n mail_location = maildir:~/mail I would like the transition to be transparent for my email clients. I don't want mail/directories/sieve_scripts to

What owner/permissions for virtual homes?
VirtualUsers.Home.txt: The directory layouts for home and mail directories could look like one of these (in the preferred order): 1. Mail directory under home, for example: home='/var/vmail/domain/user/' mail='/var/vmail/domain/user/mail/' Who should be the owner of these directories, with that permissions? Does it make a difference if it's /home/vmail rather than

sieve folders in maildir with imap: not a directory not fixed with maildir_stat_dirs = yes
As my logs fill up with "imap(user at domain.com): Error: stat(/mail/doman.com/user//.dovecot.sieve/tmp) failed: Not a directory" errors, I followed the advice at https://wiki2.dovecot.org/VirtualUsers/Home and https://dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2016-June/104403.html and set in /usr/local/etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-mail.conf # By default LIST command returns all entries in maildir beginning

sip.conf and SIP client host= not recognized in some cases
I am seeing an issue with getting certain sip devices to be recognized as defined SIP clients host= in the sip.conf and the only deference that I can find btw sources that work and don't work is that devices that send packets with an Initial Via header of themselves appears to work and pick the context correctly but those that don't have the Via just get dropped in the context of the

[WISH / PATCH] possibility to split string literals across multiple lines
Hi, I would really like to have a way to split long string literals across multiple lines in R. Currently, if a string literal spans multiple lines, there is no way to inhibit the introduction of newline characters: > "aaa + bbb" [1] "aaa\nbbb" If a line ends with a backslash, it is just ignored: > "aaa\ + bbb" [1] "aaa\nbbb" We could use

Can a matrix have 'list' as rows/columns?
After a lot of processing I get a matrix into M. I expected each row and column to be a vector. But it is a list. R-Inferno says... "Arrays (including matrices) can be subscripted with a matrix of positive numbers. The subscripting matrix has as many columns as there are dimensions in the array—so two columns for a matrix. The result is a vector (not an array) containing the selected

Not routing for 1 host?
Hi, I want to stop routing for 1 particular host in my network. I thought that this would do it: iptables -D INPUT -d aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd -j DROP iptables -D INPUT -s aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd -j DROP But that still shows traffic. What is the corract way to do that?
