Public Namespace and INBOX
Hello,
i added a existing MAILDIR as a Public Namespace and i can subscribe to
this Namespace without a problem.
I can access every folder except the INBOX. Thunderbird just shows a GREY
"INBOX".
Is there any way to access the INBOX of a maildir?
Thanks

inbox parameter is ignored within location config for public namespaces?
Hello,
i already asked a similiar question some month ago but still have no
fix for my problem :-(
This is my global location option in 10-mail.conf:
mail_location =
maildir:/home/vmail/%d/%n/MAILDIR:INBOX=/home/vmail/%d/%n/MAILDIR/.INBOX:INDEX=/home/vmail/%d/%n/INDEX/
This works fine, until i'm using a public namespace.
The following namespace is a normal user too, every mail to bos at

Refiltering mails without loosing flags
Hello,
is there a way to refilter all mails in a folder without loosing all
flags and moving all messages in a different folder?

time to time. But there is no way to refilter my inbox without moving.
Atm i need to move all mails in a folder like "refilter" and then run

Multiple IMAP Mailboxes and one collection folder
Hello,
we use many IMAP folders and now we are searching for a way to display
all mails inside this folders in one collecting folder.
The advantage for us would be the possibility to view all new incoming
mails in one folder. It would be possible to use the standard MAIL App
on the iOS without problems.
I could simply make a copy of all mails in one folder with Sieve, but
then the Per-user Seen

Shared Folters with LDA/Sieve
Hello,
i'm searching for a way to use Shared mailboxes with Sieve Filtering.
I need global email addresses like:
info at foo.tld
contact at foo.tld
help at foo.tld
Every address with own Sieve-rules for filtering and sorting of incoming
mails.
Now every user needs access to this folders, but how? How should i create
the "global" addresses?

BUG: sieve does not set seen-Flag
Moving a message from one folder to another with thunderbird, gmail-app
on android and horde webmail has always the same behaviour.
The \Recent flag ist set and the \Seen-Flag is removed in the new
folder. So it is not a problem of thunderbird.

Too stupid for sieve (former maildrop user)
Hello,
I just migrated from Postfix/Courier/Maildrop to
Postfix/Dovecot/Deliver/Sieve and don't unterstand the right syntax
for sieve :(
I searched and found many small examples and many links to the RFC,
but nothing was usefull for me (or i didn't unterstand it)
I installed the latest Dovecot-Sieve (hg).
Examples from my maildrop config:
# Filter FROM
if($E =~ /name at domain1\.tld/)

synchronizing hard linked trees
Hi,
I have to synchronize a directory tree of one machine with a tree
on a remote machine. The tree on the remote machine is used read
only. In addition I clone the current target tree before each
synchronizing using hardlinks to be able to switch back to any
previous version if the synchronization failed or if it contained
any bad data. This works since 2002 using tar and a perl script.
After I

SETANNOTATION for Dovecot
Hello,
i'm using kmail2 and for Folder Settings the SETANNOATION command is needed.
Is there any way to add this command to Dovecot?
I already found a dovecot-metadata-plugin but there is no Package
available for Debian.
Thanks

BUG: sieve does not set seen-Flag
Ok. I told you, that all and every Flag is set, except \Seen... I tried
to figure out, whats happening here... And my dovecot is not working as
it is designed...
It's nice to see, that dovecot is working for you... but here it is not
working as it should...
Changing to cyrus? What should i do? Where i can find debug-infos?
Please understand me right... It is nice for you, if dovecot does,
