dovecot (2.2.13) panic on imap-login from iphone se
Hi to all,
we have trouble with one user account, when using imap-login with iphone
se. The user can login and use the account from webmail (roundcube) and
from thunderbird without any errors and without any restrictions.
But if we use the account on an iphone se and try to use imap based
emails, there comes the following error (look at the end of the mail).
I have no idea, what for an error it

managesieve / sieve - append dot prefix on moving mails into folder
Hello mailinglist-subscribers,
i have an issue with the managesieve / sieve plugin in dovecot.
We use roundcube as webmailer and if i define a new filter to move
incoming mails directly into a subfolder i get the following sieve-code:
require ["fileinto","imap4flags"];
# rule:[mail into folder]
if allof (header :contains "from" "sender at domain.org")

managesieve / sieve - append dot prefix on moving mails into folder
Hallo!
If you didn't define a separator it's default is "." . So you would need
to change "INBOX/Monitoring" to "INBOX.Monitoring" to be accepted.
And 10-mail.conf needs a "prefix=INBOX." --note the dot as a separator
at the end.
Hope this helps

The mailbox someuser exists and i can login with this
user on imap and i can deliver directly using deliver -d

Samba 4 & W2k8_R2 - No automatic DNS Updates
What works:
- Samba4 Server migrated from Samba3 data.
- adding a 2008_R2 DC.
- Replication sofar as I could monitor.
- internal DNS Server on Samba.
What fails:
Automatic DNS Updates are not working, althought "allow dns updates = true"
in smb.conf is set - which seems to enable secure AND unsecure updates.
Manual adding an Record works on both machines, and it gets replicated on

[OT] GNU bc base conversion
Hello CentOS List Members,
Thoughts as to why my BC functions aren't properly converting between bases?
Decimal to binary or hex works fine, but not binary or hex to decimal and
so forth.
No doubt the syntax is in some way wrong, but when I test from the CLI and
the right values are returned, I have to wonder.
Other than a few other define statements, the only other option I have set

Strange ISDN-problem with incoming calls out of the same city
Hi,
after I fixed my problem with the playback() application, I now have the
next strange one.
When I dial the number of our client, located in another town, I get a
connection to the asterisk server, I can talk to my client or listen to
his mailbox.
If some in the town of this client calls him, he gets the ISDN error
"service not available".

Hello everybody,
i am running samba 3.0.23c and i have a little problem when writing a

When i connect to my samba server, all the shares are shown correctly.
Then i choose the one

I'm currently trying to connect an Aastra 57i to our Asterisk Server.
The strange thing is, that altough I have definitely entered the correct
IP address of the server, the phone doesn't even attempt to register.
Here is the configuration file (local.cfg) of the phone:

Memdisk and Grub
Hello,
i was getting into problems when booting a GRUB bootdisk with memdisk. I
get the menu of GRUB, but when i change something to boot (e.g. Redhat
installation tool) System freezes after uncompressing kernel.
I used either syslinux version of Boot Scriptor and latest standalone
version from kernel.org.
I hope you are able to give me a clue what is wrong.
Thanks in advance.

major pop3+ldap problem with alpha3 and alpha4
hi,
For some of our customers we provide a pop3 access, and after an upgrade
to alpha3, it is not working anymore.
All of our data is ldap based and everything is working as before for
our IMAP customers, but our POP3 users fail.
Obviously the pop3 login process does not read the data correctly that
comes from ldap.
after enabling mail_debug, I saw the following error in our log:
