2.2.26.0 : accessing "mdbox_deleted" content destroys indexes
Accessing or listing "mdbox_deleted" contents seems to destroy MDBOX indexes. Examples of commands which triggers this problem ($home being the home directory of $user, and mail_location being mdbox:~/mdbox): doveadm -o mail="mdbox_deleted:$home/mdbox" -f table mailbox status -u "$user" 'messages vsize' INBOX doveadm -v import -s -u "$user"

Recovering expunged but not purged e-mails from mdbox with zlib compression
Yesterday I had to recover an e-mail which a user had deleted. If I understand this correctly the message was expunged but not purged (doveadm purge had not been run). This e-mail was clearly still in the mdbox stored with zlib compression as I could tell using the doveadm dump command (doveadm dump -t dbox filename). I could however not reveal the e-mail with the normal doveadm fetch -u

mdbox_deleted proper syntax
hello, on the wiki, https://wiki2.dovecot.org/MailboxFormat/dbox, it says that one can use either doveadm fetch or doveadm import, however I can find no correct syntax with fetch that'll actually work. Is the idea to simply override the mail_location with -o ? That seems to work for doveadm mailbox but not for doveadm fetch or search # doveadm -f table mailbox status -u johan all dovecot

lazy_expunge and shared folders
Hi, since migration to Dovecot 2.2 I have troubles with lazy_expunge as soon as a user shares a folder. The user the folder is shared to cannot login anymore, dovecot logs Fatal: lazy_expunge: Unknown namespace: '.EXPUNGED/' - When no folder is shared lazy_expunge is working fine, deleted mails are moved to the expunged namespace and can be recovered without any problems. - Sharing

lazy_expunge doesn't work since upgrade 2.2.30 to 2.2.32
Hi, it seams that the lazy_expunge plugin doesn't work for me after the upgrade... 2.2.32 cry's about plugin { lazy_expunge_only_last_instance=no } is most likely handled as 'yes' - remove the setting completely to disable it. If this is intentional, add quotes around the value: lazy_expunge_only_last_instance="no" I changed it to

You should probably exclude the .DUMPSTER folder from quota and FTS plugin { fts_autoindex_exclude = .DUMPSTER quota_ruleN = .DUMPSTER:ignore } Aki On 23.05.2018 13:29, Matt Bryant wrote: > So digging a little deeper it seems this maybe an issue between > fts/fts_lucene and lazy_expunge .. if I disable the fts plugin > > [root at stargate dovecot.rawlog]#? doveadm search -u >

acl and lazy_expunge plugins are incompatible?
Hello list. Following two previous unanswered requests (http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2014-August/097449.html and http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2014-May/096261.html), I fell into the same problem: ACL and lazy_expunge plugins do not work together. I had lazy_expunge enabled working OK. Then I activated ACL plugin, and gave dovecot.2 visibily over paolo.cravero's Inbox: the IMAP

Fatal error with IMAP MOVE from a shared mailbox to Trash folder
Hello everyone. I have a problem using Dovecot 2.2.26 with ACL plugin and deleting e-mails from a shared mailbox. My user doesn't have the "expunge" permission on the shared mailbox, but it has the "write-deleted" permission. So, when I delete a message from the shared mailbox using a client that implements the IMAP MOVE command, it tries to move the message to my Trash
