Dovecot Director and MasterUsers
Hi,
the Dovecot Director determines the backend host in some way by hashing the username:
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Director
For normal logins username at example.org, the director always gets the same hash
for the same username and ensures that the login is always proxied to the same backend.
But what about MasterUsers in combination with Dovecot Director?

how to automatically select certain columns using for loop in dataframe
Hi,
I am trying to display / print certain columns in my data frame that share
certain condition (for example, part of the column name). I am using for
loop, as follow:
# below is the sample data structure
all.data <- data.frame( NUM_A = 1:5, NAME_A = c("Andy", "Andrew", "Angus",
"Alex", "Argo"),
NUM_B = 1:5, NAME_B =

Disk space usage with mdbox
Shot in the dark here...haven't tried it myself so no promises. There's
probably a much better way to do this but sometimes a little "brute
force" helps.
Theoretical steps:
1. Stop all mail processes - both SMTP and IMAP.
2. Use "doveadm sync" to backup the user mailbox, e.g.,
doveadm backup -u user mdbox:/tmp/usermail
3. Verify /tmp/usermail looks reasonable

how do I stop automount of Hitichi Lifestudio USB drive
Most of the time, if I plug a USB drive into my computer,
gnome/centos/whatever will ask me what I want to do with it.
With a Hitachi Lifestudio, all the partitions mount without asking me.
How do I stop that behavior?
My suspicion is that the same kind of
mechanism is what makes candy drops work.
So far as I know, my backup drive is not candy,
but I would still like to be able to control my

changing the eye candy on the default screensaver
Has anyone already worked out the files involved in changing from the
rather pedestrian screensaver to some more pleasing eye candy like
Fedora Core 5 uses?

Centos5, Compiz, and Nvidia
Hi!
Just did a TEST install of centos5 on an old PIII box.
one of the things I wanted to see was the fancy desktop eye-candy of
compiz and/or beryl.
This box has a nvidia 6600 series card, and I've isntalled the Nvidia
drivers (download from nvidia and run their installer).
I used the software updater to install compiz (didn't show up on original
install, perhaps I didn't hold my

GSOC '08 hardware accelerated video decoding
Hi,
I'm considering submitting a project for this year's Google Summer of
Code program that would involve making progress on hardware
accelerated video decoding for the nouveau driver and wanted some
feedback.
I know that this isn't a big priority at the moment amongst the
regular contributors, but I think it would make a good GSOC project
because of it's somewhat narrow scope. I

Howto uninstall compiz from Kubuntu
Compiz:
A colleague tempted me with compiz eye candy, and I tried it.
Sorry, but many features were too far outside my usability comfort zone:
- lazy mouse (in /this/ day and age???)
- The Run window did not reliably pop up
- minimize-all-windows turned everything black
Some of those items were configurable. Some required multiple, diverse
reconfigurations to fix. I couldn't fix the

I am interesting about the negative testing in the llvm.
Is there some test about how to use the negative in the llvm?
Thanks,

compiz/gl-x crashes my games!
I'm running Mandriva 2007 and like the eye candy of of the 3d desktop but wine
is more important to me. Whenever I start with with the 3d desktop turned on
though any 3d games I have will either crash or report that I don't have a 3d card.
Is there any way round this or am I to be denied the pleasure of the wibbly
wobbly windows?

Oddsock oddity
I have Oddsock loaded and it will not complete the connecto to the server. I
have been trying it in MP3 first before I move to Ogg to be sure I am
understanding all I need to know. And it will connect and the eye candy will
go let to right and the server will show that there is a connection, but the
thing never sends data and a media player like WinAMP will will tell me that
there is no ICY

Fortunately, it just involves reformatting the data and a little
reconmfiguration of dovcot. If you can find the tool and disk space,
it's well worth doing. Of course, when running a proverbial
