cannot create .hosts.b0WX1x : File exists
Hello,
when I do:
/opt/rsync/bin/rsync /etc/hosts targethost::bkp/
I get:
cannot create .hosts.b0WX1x : File exists
I check the targethost and I get empty file .hosts.b0WX1x
When trying with other targethost-s it works, but on this one it doesn't.
On the other targethosts I have exactly the same LinuX distribution,
permissions and users than on the problem targethost.
I have exactly the

Windows clients aren't synching profiles
Hi. I used to have samba set up on a Fedora Core 3 server that acted as a
PDC for a dozen Windows XP clients. I hade roaming profiles working fine.
Then I decided to upgrade (reformat) to Fedora Core 6 for the added harware
support. I didn't save the right files and hosed my roaming profile (SID
issue, I guess). Now I'm remaking the PDC on Fedora Core 6. I'll start

Your patch for backend-certificate verification works. Thank you for the
good and fast work. Is there any chance that this will make it into
Dovecot's next release?

Auto directory creation not working
Hello,
I am experiencing problems with auto directory creation for user shares.
I have samba instance that is authenticated against samba PDC, on PDC i have 2 groups, group1 and group2.
What i want to do now is to have separate folders for user shares for each group.
so /mnt/share/group1/user1 would be for user1 in group 1 and /mnt/share/group2/user2 would be folder for user2 in group 2

tinc vpn: adding dscp passthrough (priorityinherit), ecn, and fq_codel support
I have long included tinc in the cerowrt project as a lighter weight,
meshy alternative to conventional vpns.
I sat down a few days ago to think about how to make vpn connections
work better through fq_codel, and decided I should maybe hack on a vpn
to do the job. So I picked up tinc's source code for the first time,
got it working on IPv6 as a switch in a matter of minutes between two

[Bridge] [RFC PATCH net-next 0/5] Add layer 2 miss indication and filtering
tl;dr
=====
This patchset adds a single bit to the skb to indicate that a packet
encountered a layer 2 miss in the bridge and extends flower to match on
this metadata. This is required for non-DF (Designated Forwarder)
filtering in EVPN multi-homing which prevents decapsulated BUM packets
from being forwarded multiple times to the same multi-homed host.

Samba refresh problem
Hello,
we are experiencing some problems when accessing linux samba server(SUSE 11.1 with samba 3.2.7) via Windows XP clients.
Content of the shared folder is regularly updated via CVS, after such updates windows clients do not see new data on the server. Refreshing via F5 does not help with the update, only solution is to unmount and remount samba share which can get annoying if you have to do
