System users lookup via PAM: strip the domain name?
Is the %Ln on the 2nd passdb supposed to be a %Lu?

System users lookup via PAM: strip the domain name?
I have a need for the following:
Real system users in /etc/{passwd,shadow} (actually PAM on FreeBSD) wirhOUT @domain in /etc/passwd
Virtual Users in SQL (with full user at domain in the DB)
When I have auth_username_format = %Ln I can?t auth the Virtual Users, and if I have auth_username_format = %Lu I can?t auth System users.
Is there a compromise somewhere?

passwd-file, getting invalid uid 0
Per my earlier post about system and virtual users, I have everything working, but I'm seeing the
following message, and wondering:
1) does it matter?
2) is there a way to suppress it?
I have an Exim /etc/aliases entry that sends root to me.
Jul 13 14:38:47 thebighonker dovecot: auth-worker(13055): Error: passwd-file /etc/passwd: User root has invalid UID '0'

# Valid UID range for users, defaults to 500 and above. This is mostly
# to make sure that users can't log in as daemons or other system users.
# Note that denying root logins is hardcoded to dovecot binary and can't
# be done even if first_valid_uid is set to 0.
#first_valid_uid = 500

PAM and user@domain login?
Is there a way with 2.2.6 to have the system do a PAM login for user when
presented with
login user at domain pass
from the IMAP services?
I have a stupid android client that wants to use user at domain but doesn't
have an option
to pass just user.....
Thanks for any help.

Sieve 0.5.0/Dovecot 2.3.0
Using 2.3.0/0.5 and the below scripts/config, why doesn?t a mail addressed to ler_freebsd at lerctr.org get the FreeBSD flag?
.dovecot.sieve points to master.sieve.
Scripts:

doveconf -n:
thebighonker.lerctr.org /home/ler/sieve $ doveconf -n

If you telnet to port 25, do an EHLO host, does the response include AUTH? If not, opensmtpd is not offering AUTH over unencrypted port 25 connections.

Turn off TLS for webmail. It's not leaving the machine.
Or get a letsencrypt.org cert. (they are free) see acme.sh (https://github.com/Neilpang/acme.sh)

Is it a bug when you move mail between namespaces....
It works for me. I don't know why it wouldn't work for you. Looking at the autoindexing code I don't see how it could be possible that it works for saving but not copying.

I wish there was a way to set plugins {fts_solr = <blah>} from the command
line :(
but I turned it on globally for that run.

Is it a bug when you move mail between namespaces....
It doesn't in my current 2.2.18 setup with the config I posted.

Then you need to look at the opensmtpd logs to figure out why the starttls is failing.

I am using OpenSMTPD. The OpenBSD 6.3 default one.
Also, when telnet to 127.0.0.1 25 I get a response! So must be
something with 587?
