Dovecot has no understandable configuration any more
Hello,
for many years i used an mailserver with dovecot V1 very satisfied!
http://mailserver.decotrain.de/
One of the reasons to use dovecot was a simply configuration.
Dovecot was the best choice for IMAP for me!
Now i updated the server to Debian testing with dovecot 2.1.7.
It's not possible for me to get a running authentication for virtual
mail users!
I recently found this mailing and

Dovecot vs Exim file locking
Hi all:
We're planning to deploy a large e-mail system storing maildirs in a NAS
system through NFS. One of the options we're thinking on is using
Dovecot+EXIM.
As far as I've read in both project's documentation, both services implement
locking allowing multiple servers to access the same maildirs in order to
distribute the service load. However, I can't find any information

request to have edit access to wiki
Hi all,
I did try to do this myself as I thought Tuomas had introduced himself
and gotten wiki access for other pages ... but my skills with the #acl
markup have atrophied and I couldn't make it work. :)
I'd like Tuomas to have access so there is a clear commit record of him
having down the work, and in the future to collaborate on any
adjustments to that page.
best regards,

Replication: Can't unsubscribe from shared mailbox
Hi,
I am running two dovecot servers active/active.
Everything runs pretty great, except for the replication of subscriptions in a shared namespace.
When I unsubscribe from a folder the subscription instantly re-appears. The timestamp on the subscriptions file is updated, but the entry is still in there.
If the other node is shut down, everything works as expected, which leads me to believe that

dbox - how to awaken the monster
Hello people,
Since the invention of this storage called dbox, I have never quite gotten
round to understanding it, nor getting to use it. It seems so strange to me
and I must ask a few stupid questions about it.
I use the MTA to deliver mail to Maildir, either in ~/Maildir or
/some/path/%d/%n/Maildir. It has always beat me how dbox comes into play
under such circumstances. From the wiki, I see

How to z-standardize for subgroups?
Hi folks,
I have a dataframe df.vars with the follwing structure:
var1 var2 var3 group
Group is a factor.
Now I want to standardize the vars 1-3 (actually - there are many
more) by class, so I define
z.mean.sd <- function(data){
return.values <- (data - mean(data)) / (sd(data))
return(return.values)
}
now I can call for each var
z.var1 <- by(df.vars$var1, group,

you'll have my proposal by the end of the day. I am not good at

Is the app at http://possereg.teachingopensource.org still being used?
If so, can we migrate that to the main TOS server?
If not, I'd like to take it down as part of a server migration we're
doing for theopensourceway.org host.
Thanks - Karsten

Supplying NA or Zeros in dataframe for missing factor combinations
Hi there,
I am not getting anywhere near a solution, so here is my question. I
have searched the archives and didn't find a solution, but maybe my
search didn't use the right words. So here it is:
I have a dataframe with the following structure
factor1 factor2 value
In the (rather large) dataset I have to work on, there are some factor
combinations missing, e.g.
factor1 <-

This is an interesting idea. We'll end up wanting docs to build in the
CI anyway, so this could be done using e.g. a -draft tag so an initial
commit can be used to both build

[CentOS-devel] Authorization to use CentOS logo in GNOME Boxes
Thanks Rich for drawing this forward, I had missed it. (I generally
handle all the trademark usage queries.)
The key reference is this one, the trademark guidelines:
https://www.centos.org/legal/trademarks/
That document should give the GNOME project all of the authorization and
guidelines on how to use and not use the CentOS marks.

xen3 on file backed partitions
Hi list,
I''m running xen3 on verious systems and are very happy with the way it
works.
My set up is based on files as partitions but I have encountered a
problem I can only create 4 partitions this way since all are primary
partitions.
Are there any solution to this problem other than move the domU''s to
real partitions ?
Thanks in advance

SIP TLS not working, Asterisk 16.9.0
Hi,
I have problems with SIP via TLS. Asterisk works as a client. The TCP
connection is established, followed by a client hello from Asterisk to
the server. The server sends Server Hello, Certificate, Server Key
Exchange and Server Hello Done.
Than Asterisk sends back a Alert (Level: Fatal, Description Handshake
Failure). The following line appears in the log:
