dsync migration from maildir layout=fs to maildir seperator / - folders or inbox but not both
Am attempting to bring my mailserver back to home server post house move and whilst I could use rsync have been trying to get to grips with dsync. However, I seem to have an issue - my current server specifies mail_location as maildir:/var/vmail/%d/%n/Maildir:LAYOUT=fs and my imapc config on new server is as follows ... imapc_host = old.mailserver.host imapc_user = %u imapc_master_user =

doveadm-sync stateful
Hello, I'm trying to migrate mail accounts from an old server to a new one. As I need to migrate dozens of accounts which take about 1G each, I need to do stateful sync to make my migration in two times : 1 - I run a : doveadm -D -o mail_fsync=never -o imapc_user=user1 at olddomain.fr sync -s "" -R -1 -u user1 at newdomain.fr imapc: > /tmp/firstsync.log 2>&1 my

Asterisk 13 / realtime voicemail creation
Hello, I'm having a problem when trying to create realtime stuff for asterisk 13 in mysql DB. Following https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Managing+Realtime+Databases+with+Alembic, I've successfully created the main tables using "config" schema. > Update |script_location|to the schema to update. Restarting MOH
Hi list, I'm streaming live mp3 streams (web radios) via mplayer and mpg123 using MusicOnHold. Often, one or two of the streams die during the day and I have to restart (not reload) Asterisk to bring it back. "moh reload" on the console doesn't do anything. This is suboptimal if there are active callers, of course. Is there any way to restart the MOH system without

Problem with mail_location and INDEX location
HI, I'm pulling my hair out a little trying to get dovecot to save it's index locally rather than in the NFS mount. No matter what I do it seems to save the indices in the Maildir on the NFS. I'm using dovecot 2.0.18 on CentOS 6.3. The relevant config I'm using: mmap_disable = no dotlock_use_excl = no # only needed with NFSv2, NFSv3+ supports O_EXCL and it's faster

dsync can't sync mbox2mdbox two times
Hi, I have a server with Dovecot 2.1.x and I'm trying to convert mbox-storages to mdbox-storages. # 2.1.7: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 x86_64 Debian 6.0.7 mail_location = mbox:~/mail During the first run everything's okay, but if I run the migration a second time, the later migration is broken: root at mailstore1:/srv/vmail/cklein# rm -R mdbox/ root at

dsync issues due to Prefix difference?
Hi Timo, Thank you very much for the information. I had seen the DSync page but I was confused as to how to configure it. I'd definitely love to be able to get the proper dsync migration working as I have some clients who use POP3 and others who use IMAP and I want to make this seamless for all if possible. Could you please elaborate on how I specify the alternate dovecot.conf?

dsync issues due to Prefix difference?
Hi everyone, I'm hoping I am just missing something obvious - but I cannot seem to get a one-way migration dsync working between two Dovecot servers because the Prefix configuration is different. I am doing a migration from our old Dovecot servers to some new cPanel based ones. Source: 2.2.15 Dest: 2.2.21 Here is the debug output for the sync: doveadm(root): Debug: Loading modules from

Transitioning away from mail_location = maildir:~
Hi, I have been using this setup for years: mail_home = /var/mail/vhosts/%d/%n mail_location = maildir:~ I have since learned that mail_home and mail_location should be different. I plan to use this: mail_home = /var/mail/vhosts/%d/%n mail_location = maildir:~/mail I would like the transition to be transparent for my email clients. I don't want mail/directories/sieve_scripts to

dsync \noselect on INBOX.INBOX skips sync of INBOX
Hi Timo, We have encountered an issue today with a number of migrations. Some customers have mailboxes on the source IMAP server that look like this: 3 LIST "" * * LIST () "." "INBOX" * LIST () "." "INBOX.Statements" * LIST () "." "INBOX.Draft" * LIST () "." "INBOX.Drafts" * LIST () "."

Query: SELECT "INBOX" permission denied
Yesterday I was forced to migrate servers due to a hardware failure. I have been able to bring up my mail server, and set up Squirrelmail and Dovecot. I am able to access (via Squirrelmail) all users' mail except one - which happens to be my wife's, so it would be really helpful if I could get that working too. I am able to log in, but see the following message in the main pane:

still having dsync issues after upgrading to latest
Trying to migrate a bunch of users with mbox format to maildir format. dsync creates some directories, but otherwise does nothing. (Complained about the lack of "/" as separator until I added that to config, now is silent when running dsync except with the -D flag) I have tried dumping all the dovecot that came with my OS and built the latest sources, hoping I'd at least get a

Mailboxes not showing up in MS Outlook
Sat, 19 Jul 2014 15:03:03 -0400 I am not sure exactly where the problem is here. I am using a sieve script that sorts various incoming messages into their own mailbox. MS Outlook does not show those folders if they are not directly under INBOX. EXAMPLE: drwx------ 31 vmail vmail 1.0K 2014-07-19 14:46:55 EDT ./ drwx------ 3 vmail vmail 512B 2014-07-02 13:52:03 EDT ../ drwx------ 5

Double Maildir folders.
Somehow in setting up quotas and sieve I somehow doubled my maildir. I noticed that when I logged into my webmail I didn't see the folders I created. I went to the actual location and noticed this. Mail location is set correctly in 10-mail.conf mail_location = maildir:/var/vmail/%d/%n/Maildir So I went to /var/vmail/domain/user and saw: drwx------ 8 vmail vmail 4.0K Sep 11 22:08 .
