Solaris 11 can't join Active Directory Domain
Hi,
I'm running a Active Directory domain on Samba 4.0.1 and I'm trying to
join a Solaris 11 machine this domain:
# smbadm join -u Administrator DOMAIN
After joining DOMAIN the smb service will be restarted automatically.

NSD 3.2.1 for Solaris
Hello,
I've packaged NSD for Solaris and it's available on OpenCSW.

The package can be easily installed with "pkg-get install nsd". It works
out of the box and it contains an SMF manifest for Solaris 10.

Winbind, Kerberos, SSH and Single Sign On
Hi,
at first I'm not sure if this is the correct list to ask this question.
But since I'm using winbind I hope you can help me.
I try to realize a kerberized ssh from one client to another. Both
clients are member of subdom2.subdom1.example.de and joined to it. The
users are from example.de, where subdom1.example.de is a subdomain
(bidirectional trust) of example.de and

elliptic functions
Hi List
I'm thinking of putting together some R functionality (maybe a package)
of elliptic functions. An elliptic function is one that is doubly
periodic on the
complex plane and I think they are cool.
One objective of mine is to reproduce Abramowitz and Stegun's
beautiful diagram on
p643 (figure 18.5).

Source code patch (for 6.6p1) adding support for Brainpool Elliptic Curves

maybe it is a little early but the next (stable) version of OpenSSL will support
Brainpool Ellptic curves (current beta 1.0.2-beta1 contains support for
Brainpool already). Brainpool curves are defined in RFC 5639.

Hi,
Is there nice way to put back EC encryption on Centos?
RHEL disabled it due "patent issues", but is third party providing packages
to EC enabled packages to centos ?

In the past 24 hours multiple persons have contacted me regarding the use of
elliptic curve cryptography in tinc 1.1 in light of the suspicion that the NSA
might have weakened algorithms and/or elliptic curves published by NIST.
The new protocol in tinc 1.1 (SPTPS) uses ECDH and ECDSA to do session key
exchange and authentication, in such a way that it has the perfect forward
secrecy (PFS)

Crash on opening mailbox
Well, good news and bad news.
I backed up the indexes (presumably the ~/.mbox/.imap/*) and started
tinkering:
dovecotadm -u username INBOX
did nothing, it didn't event produce a message in the log, and the
indexes were not updated. I deleted the indexes, and let dovecot rebuild
them. This fixed my inbox (good news), unfortunately, even after copying
the backed-up files back I can no longer

because of the login problem with windows 10 and the required changes in
"server max protocol" i try to setup an AD.
The AD works fine, now I have an other problem.
In my Samba3 install i have the following config:
mailserver with standanlone openLDAP <- sync -> samba3 with openLDAP
so the mailserver can receive mails even if the pdc is down.

Not really. I tried copying the inbox and wanted to delete half the
messages to filter out the problematic one, but opening the copy works
fine.
What could be the culprit? Does dovecot keep some index that might be
corrupted?

I have my "24V DC modular ATX PSU" running yet and it collect already
the data form the DS1780 and MAX1036/8. The Microcontroller is a Maxim
Integrated Device DS89C450 and the USB-Controller a MAX3420E which works
over SPI Bit-Banging.
OK, this is now working and enumeration is done... ;-)
