smbd running multiple times
Dear "someone who can help", I am having a problem with SAMBA and SWAT (although I'm not sure SWAT is part of the problem...) I get two instances of "smbd" when ever it is started on this system. From SWAT I can only stop it ONE time. After that, each time I attempt to stop the SMBD daemon from SWAT it simply starts TWO more instances of the daemon (or something

Hang up error: Didn't get a frame from channel
I'm using EyeBeam from xten, and whenever I call another user, the callee phone rings but my SIP phone immediately hangs up. The other end keeps on ringing but when the callee answers, there is no sounds. I have found the "Didn't get frame from channel" error occurring in each such call. What does this mean? How can I fix it? -Mike- May 15 22:31:10 DEBUG[4792]:

Problem with cron
I have a root cron job that powers down my server every day at 1am and 6pm. The output of '# crontab -l' is shown below. * 1,18 * * * poweroff Last night, after the server powered down at 6pm, I decided I wanted to use the server so I started it with the power button. The server, after a minute or so, powered itself down. This behaviour happened repeatedly until I waited past 7pm.

datetime_select custom input fields
by default datetime_select allows the user to input any date and time they want. Is there a way it can only allow a user to select an hour between 8AM and 6PM and only allow them to choose the top of the hour (:00) and the half hour (:30) for the minute? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on

SQLServer Timestamp parsing problem in sqlserver_adapter.rb
So, I''ve used Rails to tie into a legacy system which is on SQL Server 2000 with a required timestamp field, DBTimeStamp. The field is defined in SQL Server as type timestamp, but when rails is pulling it in, it appears it may be casting to a datetime format. So, when I try to read or write to the field, it gives me a parsing error: NoMethodError: private method

created_at timestamp bug???
Occassionally when creating a record, rails is setting the datetime field (''created_at'') to something ~1 month in the past. This only happens on a few instances so i''m thinking that its not something wrong with my code. Has anyone else had this problem? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

patch schedule for TCP timestamp issue
Hello, I see by the commit logs that the so-called PAWS vulnerability was fixed in -current on April 10. Could you, please, say when a patch will be released? Given the hole's low threat-level, this is not a pressing matter; so if the plan is to wait until the possible tcpdump and gzip issues are investigated and fixed (if necessary) so that a "3 for the price of 1" patch-set is

Timestamp -> Date
I have a timestamp in a row in my MySQL DB, and I can output the timestamp, but what method could I use to turn the timestamp into the date, like the PHP function date()? Also, can I have the link to any place that lists all RoR Methods/Classes that is not the official one? If no other ones exist, no problem :) -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Problem with db_schema_import and MySQL timestamp!
Hi, This post concerns a SQL error while I try to import a schema into MySQL with timestamp dates. To reproduce try these commands: mickey@bunny:~/dev/rails/timeonrails$ rake db_schema_dump (in /home/mickey/dev/rails/timeonrails) mickey@bunny:~/dev/rails/timeonrails$ cat db/schema.rb # This file is autogenerated. Instead of editing this file, please use the # migrations feature of ActiveRecord

Dumper, mySQL adapter and TIMESTAMP ... something strange ?
Hi, As explained by MiKael Navarro in the following post (http://www.ruby-forum.com/topic/55662#new) it seems that there''s a problem with the way the mySQL adapter treats the TIMESTAMP column. Actually, when an SQL schema with for example: created_on TIMESTAMP is dumped into ruby schema, it will lead to: t.column "created_on", :timestamp, :limit => 14 but if we

Asterisk IAX Trunking Stops - Too much delay in IAX2 calltoken timestamp from address
Hi all, Just hit this problem for the first time: WARNING[17712] chan_iax2.c: Too much delay in IAX2 calltoken timestamp from address 10.25x.xxx.160 When I ran "iax2 show peers" everything comes up as unreachable, no calls are passed between the servers (as would be expected) but there is no problem with DAHDI / SIP channels. Adding a timestamp to an uploaded image
In Rails 3 we have the asset pipeline, that automatically takes care of images, caching, etc. But what about images uploaded by the user? Those images are uploaded into the "uploads" folder, and while you can move them around, they are outside the asset pipeline (please correct me if I''m wrong). So, the user uploads an image and when he replaces it with another one, the

Xen Log Timestamp resolution
Hello, I want to increase the time resolution of the logfile (/var/log/xen/xend.log). Its current resolution is in seconds. I would like milliseconds or microseconds. I believe the logging is done through python, but I cannot find where to change it. The log file currently displays [YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS xend PID]. I would like something more like [YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.mmmmmm xend PID] where m

Problem with Samba Timestamp
I have a problem with timestamps. Files that are being modified/copies/etc coming from QNX hosts that are mounting the samba share using mount smbfs against a samba server running Sun Solaris 9. If the two servers are in the same time zone, the time stamps are correct. However if the QNX host is in the Eastern Time zone for example, the timestamp on the file is in the future. The time zone for

Timestamp of file upload
Hello, Does anyone know if it possible to find the last modified time of a file that has just been uploaded. I.e. I save a file on my computer at Friday 4th July 1.40pm. I then upload this file 1 hour later. I have tried File.mtime(photo.path) but this only returns the timestamp of when the file was saved as a temp file (i.e. 2.40pm). Is it possible to find the original last modified time

Want timestamp to change when copying from WinXP to Samba share
Hi folks, Windows has a default behavior of preserving timestamps when you copy a file. I want to update the 'Date Modified' timestamp to current time when I copy a file from Windows XP to a Samba share, just like a unix file copy would. Is there some way of doing this? Maybe w/ a script? 'dos filetimes' and 'dos filemode' don't seem to do the trick. Here's my
