Transparent Pie Charts
Hi again!
I put this question in another topics post before but
I fear it might drown there.
Is it possible to have transparent / alpha blended
colors for pie charts?
I am using the pies in a map of pies and those pies
are sometimes overlapping so
it would be great to see if another pie lies beneath.
Thanks,
Werner

HOWTO install CentOS 6 on low memory computer or virtual machine (even 192MB RAM)
I've managed to install CentOS 6 on a 192MB virtual machine using LiveCD
install-to-disk graphical method.
This is not normally possible because of:
- hard-coded minimum supported memory in Anaconda installer - it will
show a message "You do not have enough RAM to install CentOS Linux on
this machine" if you try or force you to use seriously crippled text
installer;
- a bug in

Vorbis-/Speex-Audio for Movie-Archiving
Hi everyone,
I have been using vorbis for ages as audio codec for archiving movies and I
have always been happy with it, but now I have been thinking about two things:
I) Multi-channel
Up until now I mostly encoded to stereo; now I am thinking of encoding more
movies to 4.0 or 5.1. I heard that vorbis does not optimize for channels > 2,
i.e. that 6 channels is just stereo*3. AAC is

imapc_port not working
Hi,
Dovecot v2.3.7.2 on Ubuntu 18.04LTS
I have configured for imap proxy to imap.gmail.com
However whilst the imapc_host setting is working, imapc_port is not - it ignores the value I set and dovecot always tries to connect to gmail on port 143 (as per error log output).
I have the imapc settings in the 10-mail.conf which gets loaded by dovecoat.conf
Looks like a bug.
Any assistance would

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Thank you for the reply. I did find imapsync whilst perusing Google. I
will give it a shot, it sounds more realistic/reliable. I have a hoard
of emails going back to 1999, so I want as few errors as possible :)

odesolve: lsoda vs rk4
I'm trying to use odesolve for integrating various series of coupled 1st
order differential equations (derived from a system of enzymatic
catalysis and copied below, apologies for the excessively long set of
parameters).
The thing that confuses me is that, whilst I can run the function rk4:
out <- rk4(y=y,times=times,func=func, parms=parms)
and the results look not unreasonable:

Hi all, I am receiving the error *Newton failed to find minimum* whilst
trying to fit a move persistence model in this package. I think the error
is related to the optimiser in the TMB package but it is beyond my
statistics/coding knowledge to track down the specific cause and solution.
I would appreciate it if anyone knew some resources to assist with fixing
this. I have put a MRE and sample data

rspamd / imapsieve script is not executed/called
Hi to all of you,
as I am struggling around with this a week or so I'm afraid I have to ask
for help here.
The problem is sitting right in front of the computer, as most of the time.
;-)
So let me explain:
Dovecot is working properly for IMAP with LE certificates, so I thought
it's time to continue with Christoph Haas tutorial primarily and other
blogs and tutorials for setting up the

Idea to possibly improve flac?
I'd like to express a few things whilst I have the ear atleast a few folks.
There once was a program called oddcast, and then edcast that you
could use on linux to broadcast an OggFLAC encoded audio stream from
jack. Sounds like something many folks would be interested in doing,
but I haven't heard to much of a peep about it. At any rate, it had a
a few issues legally and technical

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Hello,
Because it did not work ?
In a similar situation, we where forced to use isync/mbsync in imap to
imap mode because dsync did not work.
It was reported here more than a year ago (May 2014).
Time to time, I see the same report from other trying to use dsync to do
a migration to dovecot.
Dsync is a very appealing and elegant solution to this usage, but it
does not always work in real

Idea to possibly improve flac?
Hi folks!
Due to the fact that more and more users increasingly use MP3 < 320kbps as their source for encoding music, and publish it as flac files, I suggest that something is done in the flac encoder to possible avoid this.
My idea is kinda easy/stupid, but might work;
Implement a function that use a FFT to check if the input has frequencies > 16kHz, and informs the user that the file
