Lost sunglasses at PuppetConf
Hi folks, sorry about this unusual email but I wasn''t sure where else
to send this.
I just attended PuppetConf 2011 in Portland. On the last day near the
end of the conference, I found a pair of sunglasses in the main
auditorium. I stowed them in my backpack intending to find out if
there was a lost and found, but I confess that I completely forgot
about them until I found them after

Huge difference between the lucene index size created by v2.1 and v2.2
Hi everyone,
While examining dovecot versions v2.1 and v2.2 for their lucene search
performances, I have noticed a huge difference in the index sizes
created by them. Both versions were compiled on same system, against
same libclucene, same configure options and were used with same
dovecot.conf during run-time. I deleted the lucene-indexes folder and
dovecot* files in the Maildir prior to

[LLVMdev] MCJIT and Lazy Function Creators
Out of curiosity, I'm replacing the JIT with MCJIT on my compiler. As
all "external" functions are provided by the language's FFI mechanism,
it does
MyExecutionEngine->DisableSymbolSearching();
MyExecutionEngine->InstallLazyFunctionCreator(&MyLazyFunctionCreator);
which works fine with the JIT. However, MCJIT insists on resolving
unknown symbols by searching them

New CentOS/RHEL group on Facebook
I second this. I find it rather ironic that one would try to initiate
discussion of an open source operating system and environment in a
proprietary walled off world. This seems rather antithetical to the
whole intent of centos.

New CentOS/RHEL group on Facebook
Hi,
There are currently two competing CentOS groups on Facebook. The "main"
group is managed by a small group of autocrats with very unilateral
communication skills. The other one is not managed at all, judged by the
amount of non-CentOS-related stuff published there (Ubuntu tutorials,
Windows games, cheap Ray-Ban sunglasses).
I was a bit frustrated by this state of things, the more so

New CentOS/RHEL group on Facebook
I personally dislike Facebook, but even so, I think a basic requirement for any web site striving to share knowledge is to be publicly accessible to all which at the moment it is not.
Search engines won't be able to crawl it, people without an account won't be able to access it.
Can this be changed?
Thanks

Feature suggestion: sftp over ssh client in a single connection
It has always bugged me that if I want to use a shell and perform some
file transfers in a single host I have to take two SSH connections:
one for the shell via ssh(1) and one for the file transfer via
sftp(1). Some graphical SSH clients can perform sftp operations and
ssh shell access in a single connection by using SSH2 protocol's
support for multiple channels.
So I hacked my openssh client

none with 2915's).

Bug Report - Crash on imap with core dump - Alternate storage related
I would like to report a bug we are seeing on an new deployment here:
Linux: Debian Jessie, inside a Docker container
Dovecot version: 2.2.23 (806d709) / 2.2.23-1~bpo8+1
doveconf -n: http://pastebin.com/2xA2xuRw
Filesystem: CephFS - Jewel
After migrating our users from our old server to our new one we can't
access a few mailboxes. Backtrace follows:
root at dovecot:/# gdb --args

[LLVMdev] MCJIT and Lazy Function Creators
I guess we'll have to add that to the list of things that needs to be done to replace the old JIT.
In the projects I've worked on that use MCJIT, we've been using getPointerToFunction and then calling it from outside the MCJIT engine, but I suppose that the generic handling in runFunction would be useful in some cases.
