TLS/SSL for Win8 & Outlook
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello I recently upgraded to dovecot 2.1.7 (as supplied with Debian Weezy). All clients work as expected except for Outlook (2013 &2010) on Win8 with a SSL/TLS connection. (Thunderbird on Win8 and Outlook 2013 on Win 7 works fine. On my previous dovecot version 1.2.13 all clients worked.) As far as I understand, one difference is the support for

Problem with TLS and Outlook 2010
Dovecot 2.0.9 So I am trying to get my Outlook 2010 client to use TLS with Dovecot. The Outlook error that I get is: Log onto incoming mail server (IMAP): A secure connection to the server cannot be established. I have set the port to 143,993,995 none of them work, and the security to TLS. I have all of the certificates in the full chain installed on my machine and when viewing them

Dovecot replies with default SSL certificate instead of the vhost's
Hello, I'm using dovecot v2.0.21. According to http://wiki2.dovecot.org/SSL/DovecotConfiguration,dovecot 2.x supports different SSL certificate for different virtual hosts by using "local_name" directive, but I can't get it to work. When testing the certificate using "openssl s_client -connect domain.com:pop3s" I get the default certificate instead of

Wrong message information reported shortly after delivery
Hi, If an IMAP fetch is issued some "short" time after a message was delivered with dovecot deliver then dovecot reports wrong (zero) values for that new message. Afterward, it reports the information OK. This causes problems to our IMAP client. The problem is easily reproduced with a large message on a slow machine. I'm using dovecot 1.0.10 Here's a sample trace: 1 uid fetch

Test migration (IMAP copy) and INTERNALDATE?
We're trying some migration tests ... from CommuniGate to Dovecot. dovecot-stable: NIL from in envelope request
Using the latest dovecot-stable (20050213) with pine, I get an empty "from" header in my e-mails. This doesn't happen with 1.0.59-test, nor did it happen with the first dovecot-stable (20050131). A partial connection log is below: 1.0-test59: IMAP DEBUG 15:23:32 2/13: 00000007 FETCH 1:41 (UID ENVELOPE BODY.PEEK[HEADER.FIELDS (Newsgroups Content-MD5 Content-Disposition

child killed by signal 6
Hello, from time to time I keep getting problems with some emails causing signal 6. I've already reported those, but it seems not to be easy to find the cause. From the logs, it seems to occur in sieve implementation. I've checked the email envelopes tody by accident, probably this part of my telnet session might help: a11 fetch 1 all * 1 FETCH (RFC822.SIZE 16750 INTERNALDATE

Dovecot response to "FETCH" command
Hi folks. I just converted my site from UW+mbox to dovecot+maildir (stable-test59, 2005/02/25). For the most part, everything is great. The server seems faster and less memory intense than the UW server (this part has made me very happy). And it's definitely more user friendly to me than Courier. There is one thing however... A few of my users are using the web based mail reader

problem on exceptional quit
Dear Centos Users: I installed Centos 7 on my server a few months ago. While using ssh, there is always a strange message "Write failed: Broken pipe?. It forces quit of SSH. It?s really annoying as it happens very often with irregular time interval - from a couple of minutes to a few hours. I have been working using Linux (Red Hat, Fedora and Centos) over 15 years. This didn?t happen for me

Incomplete Subject Line
Hi, since upgrading from 1.0.5 to latest 1.1-hg I get an incomplete subject line for mails autogenerated by one of our systems in the message list (Thunderbird and mutt). Seeing the IP addresses of domUs from dom0
Using a default xen3.0.1 setup for dom0(rhel4 distro) and domUs (gentoo, rhel4, centos4.2 distros, ttylinux) with the domUs all having dhcp turned on, is there an easy way to tell from within the dom0 what ip addresses were assigned to the domUs after bootup?
