LinkedIn still not working?
To clarify the issue I posted earlier: I am on OS X 10.6.7. Trying to use Mechanize to log in to LinkedIn. As others have posted about in the past, when I submit the form it kicks me back to the LinkedIn landing page, and does not log me in. I read the earlier discussion of the issue that mentioned how cookie values were being improperly dequoted when stored. But I thought that issue was fixed.

LVM on dom0?
I''ve spent the past while researching this but I''m just not finding a solution. I''ve been trying to get my xen kernel booting on a pretty much stock CentOS 4.4 installation. I installed Xen from src rpm and installed all the requisite software and I''m sure it''s with the ram disk but I can''t figure out how to resolve this. With a stock kernel

PearDB, PHP, CentOS 5
All, I'm trying to get a small app working but it requires DB.php provided by Pear. I've double checked and I have php-pear.noarch installed but there is no DB.php (just DependencyDB.php ). There seem to be no other packages that have pear or a DB.php file. Anyone have any ideas where I can get it? I've found just the files provided from the Pear site but I have no idea where to copy

Zimbra MTA and Contact package?
Does anyone have any feedback on the Zimbra MTA and Contact software? I just saw that Comcast is going to start using the software, I played with it over a year ago and dumped it. It seems to have been developed much further and works, open source and compiled for RedHat 4 Enterprise. Any feedback would be helpful... Thanks, john

Extracting some rows from a data frame - lapses into a vector
I have a data frame with one column "x": > str(data) `data.frame': 20 obs. of 1 variable: $ x: num 0.0495 0.0986 0.9662 0.7501 0.8621 ... Normally, I know that the notation dataframe[indexes,] gives you a new data frame which is the specified set of rows. But I find: > str(data[1:10,]) num [1:10] 0.0495 0.0986 0.9662 0.7501 0.8621 ... Here, it looks like the operation

Sipura SPA-841 Volume Oscillation Problem
Hi all, The problem is on the volume of the voice sent by the SPA-841. I think the echo cancel algorithm sets a limit to the microphone when detects sounds or noise from the earphone. This problem generates an oscillation on the voice volume sent by the phone and even turns it off completely for very little lapses of time making the communication very uncomfortable. I manage three different

Severe problem with Samba
Dear All, we are experiencing severe problems with Samba 2.2.0 (with quota support) running on a dual processor (400MHz) Sun E450 running Solaris 2.7. This is used as a central file server for student diskspace, accessed by approx 1200 PCs running NT 4. Up until recently we experienced some, what we assume to be, loading issues with connections during the middle of the day being slow.

Reducing the deleterious effects of ego related issues on the list: growing up individually.
Folks, I *suggest* that little or no reply to this is warranted. It's just the statements of an old fart trying to make a (slightly) better environment for all of us. These thoughts are offered for consideration and use as you see fit. For some, "Hey, that'll work for me too" is the hoped for result. No discussion is intended or warranted, IMO. Parameterized Samples Withdrawn
Although the parameterized samples have allowed people to get a firewall up and running quickly, they have unfortunately set the wrong level of expectation among those who have used them. I am therefore withdrawing support for the samples and I am recommending that they not be used in new Shorewall installations. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Shorewall - iptables made easy AIM: tmeastep \

ActionMailer (Action Mailer) Template not found? Help!!
I have been going around on the Internet about this all day and found absolutely nothing that seems to fit this problem. I have a mailer named "Notifier" -- in fact I have been using the EXACT code from the "Agile Development With Rails" chapter on "Sending E-Mail", pp. 411-416, except for my names (mailer named "Notifier", emailer method named
