mail-migration with dovadm sync/backup and mail_attachment_dir
I need to run a mail-migration from a Dovecot with mail_attachment_dir / single instance storage enabled. As mailboxes and mail_attachment_dir are rsynced I would normally run a doveadm backup -u <user> -R -d dbox:<path to rsynced mailbox>/dbox How can I tell it the mail_attachment_dir the rsynced source / (reverse) destination uses? Or do I have to start a Dovecot process and use

mdbox with mail_attachment_dir per user in 2.2.12
Hello, we have 2 netapp arrays with 2 volumes and we need to store our mail data in one or other volume for every user. We want keep data for one user in one volume only. So we would like to have 2 separate mail_attachment_dir, one on every volume. But in latest version 2.2.12 it look like it is only possible to set one global mail_attachment_dir. I have an idea with 2 separate dovecot

mdbox-files over 2 MB
Hello, I received an e-mail, this includes 9 forwarding, each with a file. These files are not removed from the e-mail and stored in the attachments-directory, although they are larger than 16 KB. For all files the "Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64" is set. The email is stored in completely in "m.00000034" ------------------------------------- doveconf: # 2.2.12:

Hi there ! I?m using dovecot 2.3.10 (manually compiled on Centos 8 x86_64 - fully updated), XFS filesystem, with mdbox and a separated compressed attachment directory: mail_attachment_fs = sis compress:lz4:6:posix mail_attachment_hash = %{sha256} mail_attachment_dir = /ATTACHMENTS I'm using dovecot LDA (for mail delivery). v1.0.13: maildirfolder not being created
Hi, I'm using version 1.0.13 of dovecot. I know it's somewhat dated, but that's the latest that Debian etch offers, and I would like to avoid compiling by myself if possible. dovecot is not creating the 'maildirfolder' in folders that are created via IMAP. Looking at the NEWS file, this was implemented in v1.0.rc7, so my version should have that working already. Is

Multiuser attachment storage (mail_attachment_dir)
Was trying to set up attachment storage, but folders are receiving permission only for current user, so if another user is receiving a mail with same attachment he is getting permission denied error on reading hash file. Is it possible to setup global attachment storage to work with all users, at least in domain? mail_access_groups won't help, as folders are given 0 group permission. Umask and

Specifying other mail_attachment_dir for namespace
Hello, I have a Dovecot setup where I need to allow users to access a snapshot of their messages (when they complain about missing messages/folders deleted by mistake). From time to time the system does a LVM snapshot of the volume holding the mailboxes and sis storage and that messages are available via a "special" namespace. The problem is the messages that references
