Timo, would you consider adding support for "IMAP LIST Extension for Special-Use Mailboxes" <http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc6154.txt> any time near in the future? I would really love to get rid of all those folders created by all those different mail clients just because they can't agree to use the same folder for special purpose. Obviously clients need to support it too.

Hi, I have an interesting problem: I am building dovecot packages for Ubuntu since 10.04. Never had bigger trouble with it. Now since 2.1.6 or 2.1.7 (I can not say more precisely), Thunderbird 10ESR and Outlook 2010 can no longer use 143/TLS correctly. Automx delvers 143/TLS and Outlook tells me that it can not create a secure connection. I changed automx to use 993/SSL and everything works.

I get the impression from several earlier mails here that the intention is for the server to globally decide what the folder-name of a specific SPECIAL-USE folder is for all users. I am trying to figure out if I need avahi on my mail server. I see that POP3 and IMAP are services that Avahi can advertise/discover. Hello, Some versions of Outlook will randomly rename the Junk folder to Junk Email. This of course causes errors because Dovecot can no longer store junk.
