Well, >>random<< schema ;-)
you should know what you are doing. Check what is added to your LDAP
and you'll be fine.

PDU support for DigiPower and Aviosys devices
Hi,
I'm thinking about adding support for PDU (Power Distribution Unit) devices
from Digipower [1] and Aviosys [2] to NUT via the SNMP interface.
The specific devices I have in mind are the following:
Digipower AMz-1623/SW-08-1
Aviosys IP Power 925x
(both are 8-port PDUs which are SNMP capable via an ethernet interface)
Does anybody have other DigiPower or Aviosys devices and if so

SNMP agent for NUT
Hello guys,
I was some years ago when I sent something to this list.
NUT is a great tool but lacks SNMP management. It can access a device using SNMP
but I found no way to read NUT values using SNMP. It would be very
useful in order to integrate with
network management software based on SNMP. As I did not find a
solution, I wrote it myself.

samba_dns_question
Hai Rowland,
I think you are mixing a few settings.
http://www.zytrax.com/books/dns/ch7/queries.html#additional-from-auth
additional-from-auth yes | no ;
additional-from-cache yes | no ;
And
www.zytrax.com/books/dns/ch7/queries.html#auth-nxdomain
auth-nxdomain yes | no;
If auth-nxdomain is 'yes' allows the server to answer authoritatively (the
AA bit is set)

audio/vorbis media type registration
This is the first draft of the audio/vorbis media registration form to be
handled to the IANA. PLEASE comment extensively, even minor spelling
mistakes etc are to be stamped out of this I hope.
A media type for application/ogg (or should it be
application/oggsquish?) will be created separately.
I would be very happy if someone could supply the 4-letter filetype code
used by MacIntosh .ogg files.

There are many reasons...

Folders with ~ (tilde) slow to save
running Version 3.6.23-14.el6_6
I'm having slow save times with folders names ~something.. ie.
/www/~bin/content.txt.
doing this via a windows share.. when I save file it has a moment
(few seconds) of hesitation.. then saves. When I do
/www/bin/content.txt. the file saves instantly.
Is there anywhere I can change a setting to fix this? or is this a
bug. I've looked in the logs

Samba4 LDAP Integration with Asterisk
Hi,
I am turning crazy. I try to integrate Asterisk 11.5.1 into Samba4 LDAP,
but when I import the ldif file from contrib directory I get this error.

Paranoid Firewalling
After reading this article:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/08/31/blocking_chinese_ip_addresses/
I got to thinking that there is really no reason for *any* traffic to
hit my servers that comes from anywhere outside North America. So I
wrote the perl script at the end of this posting to extract selected IP
ranges posted at iana.org and convert them into iptables rules blocking
any traffic

Author reply, problem fixed in 4.04 (that debian buster have);
specifically, author say:
Well, there's a better solution for this. If you have quota-tools >= 4.04
and if you run at least on kernel 4.6, there is support for Q_GETNEXTQUOTA

I hope to finish this MIME types discussion with these conclusions -
