Probably K9 not Outlook - Re: Outlook 2010 not connecting to secure POP3
no idea what you are talking about K9 is a android client and works fine with TLS no idea what has "https" to do with email nor why someone needs to "disable K9 long enugh" whatever "long enough" is - don't get me wrong but most technical context on several lists of you if it comes to details is cluttered and your permanently "i am working on IETF"

Probably K9 not Outlook - Re: Outlook 2010 not connecting to secure POP3
I finally noticed this popup of K9 blocking https on port (143, 993, 995). So the user has to come back over here and disable K9 long enough to get things working. ARGH! New mailserver problems
Well, in part we will see if you get this and I get the return. I JUST launched my new mail server after a few miscues. Actually the OS is Redsleeve6, which is the arm port of Centos 6, and perhaps some of my problems may come down to porting problems. But first, it may be that despite my testing, I missed something in the configurations. First clamd problems: Nov 19 08:09:54 z9m9z

I'm looking back at the message you wrote describing errors in ld-2.17.so. I think what's happening is that the policy on your system includes a silent rule that somehow breaks your system. Help in starting spamassassin
I have installed spamassassin, per the instructions on Scalix's wiki, and it is working, with some important caviats. So I asked for help on the spamassassin user list, and got some, but I think I am butting up against some Centos specific issues... This is what I am seeing in the maillog: Aug 17 14:39:59 z9m9z sendmail[13082]: l7HIdvGf013082: Milter add: header: X-Spam-Checker-Version:

After BIND update owner changed and restart failed
I just applied the BIND updates. Then I fixed the one file that had a second include of named.ca (remembered that from last time) and did a 'service named restart', and it failed. In messages I found: Jan 10 21:31:17 z9m9z named[31001]: loading configuration from '/etc/named.conf' Jan 10 21:31:17 z9m9z named[31001]: /etc/named.conf:11: open: /etc/named.acl: permission denied

Dovecot impatient with mysql?
It seems dovecot is impatient with connecting with mysql, as I see in maillog entries like: Apr 6 11:48:30 z9m9z dovecot: dict: Error: mysql(localhost): Connect failed to database (postfix): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (13) - waiting for 5 seconds before retry Apr 6 11:48:35 z9m9z dovecot: dict: Error: mysql(localhost): Connect

SELinux policy to allow Dovecot to connect to Mysql
As I have noted in previous messages, I been getting the following on my new mailserver: Apr 7 10:17:27 z9m9z dovecot: dict: Error: mysql(localhost): Connect failed to database (postfix): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (13) - waiting for 25 seconds before retry They go away when I setenforce 0. Centos 6 - disabling IPv6 addressing
How about, in your /etc/sysconfig/network file adding or editing the line for IPV6 to be: NETWORKING_IPV6=no and then try a 'service network restart' and see what you get.
