Request to list owner
Hi list owner,
Sorry for this.
Is it possible to change the reply-to in mailman to be the list, and not the
person who replied?
Also the [Dovecot] on the subject would be handy.
Just two things to get better.
Thanks,

Thanks Jorge, I think this is the answer. I'm using dovecot for exim4 SMTP
authentication. The exim4 logs show brute force attacks.

Help with IMAP IDLE
Well,
I've been doing some research, and it seems that msoutlook 2016 and 2019
doesn't quite have imap idle support.
The odd part, is that when i had DBMail, it was IDLE'ing (i swear),
Would dbmail send something different that make it work? It was an old
version of dbmail, 2.3.7 i believe, from about 2012 or so.
And no, it wasn't the outlook options "send/receive", i

Larry & Pascal,
Thanks for the reply.
Ok this is the lib for sieve, and the sieved, I see in debian packages that there is a dovecot-managesieved, the daemon, does this pigeonhole is the daemon also?

It's almost always possible; it really depends on how much work
you want to do.

Dovecot SASL
Howdy,
I know i've asked this before, but i think i got really no answer.
I'd like to have dovecot SASL, to check AUTH against an SQL table, instead
of dovecot SASL use the AUTH MECH for imap/pop3.
I want this, to have the same behavior as I have now, where i use postfix
with cyrus SASL on a different table (with the same login details), and when
i have an user that his accounts

Hi Joseph,
It's that what I want!!
Sequentially, my bad saying random!
Well... with the script, I remember I did something like this 15 years ago
with qmail with a php script, that every email was saved in mysql and I
always selected the next email addrr in the list.
Going to search for this option in postfix, thanks for the tip as this is a
bit offtopic of dovecot,

Help with IMAP IDLE
Hi,
I'm becaming crazy about this!
I've asked before, not no matter what i do or conf, never works.
How can i make IDLE work for real with MSOutlook, so that i can receive
emails when they arrive, instead of changing folder/get out and in my
account?
Here's my conf, should it be reflected in postconf -n (is it the running
conf?):

Handle of "subscription" file/folder for IMAP
Hi,
Ok you're right about it, let me simplify it.
There's some files in the Maildir, that are from dovecot, like the
dovecot.sieve, subscriptions, and these are files, but here are shown an
being folders to be subcribed.
Question was if it is possible to deny the show of this info in IMAP
globally.
If I subscribe, for example to "subscriptions", it created the folder,

Howdy,
I?d like to achieve something that i don?t know if it?s possible.
I have account info at domain.tld and when an email is received, I want to
forward it to several accounts, always in this order:
? Email1 at domain.tlf
? Email2 at domain.tld
? Email3 at domain.tld
And when it reached email3 at domain.tld it starts again with email1 at domain.tld
Would something like

Help on CRAM-MD5
Hello,
The world is not black or white.
Yes CRAM-MD5 is old and his successor SCRAM-XXXXXX is not widely
available/implemented which is sad.
For your need, use TLS and forget about it.
Thunderbird is conservative. If you don't configure TLS or TLS is not
available, it try to use something that not expose the password.
There is plenty of context where TLS is not possible/desirable.
