A program cant find their DLLs and it really exists
Hi:
I am fond in photography, not a professional but amateur. I have a FujiFilm camera wich comes with some utilities and I need one of this for converting my RAW Images, I really like it and want to keep using it instead other programs.
Question is I can launch the program (by comand line and by desktop launcher) and when I choose the file it should be drawn in the screen. It works perfectly

RE: samba and crash server
Hi,
please check, if your hard drives are ok. Status D means Disk Sleeps and Samba is
waiting for Harddisk I/O. Can you do a ls in these directories?

RE: samba and crash server
hi,
the smbd daemons are fallting into process status "D" (uninterruptible sleep). The only way to ged rid of these processes is rebooting your system! To analayze why smbd is falling into status "D" you have to check your logs. Another option is building a strace profile of smbd to see what`s going on.
cheers Stefan

Marks SNMP HowTo
I followed Marks SNMP howto on Voip Magazine and ran into a small
problem... (http://www.voip-magazine.com/content/view/2877/0/1/3/)
When asterisk is running as a non-root user (asterisk) SNMP request
for for the Asterisk MIB tree return nothing. If I quit asterisk and
run it as root, all is fine. Does anyone have a idea what is going
on? I have never used agentX, so I am unsure of what it is

How do I get xtabs to show missing data?
I presume the behavior below (no Connector values in the second table)
is because I have na values in my dataframe. How do I get them to list?
I found references to na.action and na.pass, but I could not figure out
how I could use them with xtabs to list the na as a value. I'm sure
there's a simple syntax I need, but it's not obvious to me.

strange permission denied problem
I built an embedded box which uses mount.cifs to mount network
shares. I've shipped several of these and all are working fine except
for one, which gives me permission denied on certain files:
root@Mnemosyne:~/mnt/bgrp1/c/Ballance Group Folders/Scully/Client
Photos-Scully# cat "Office Pics 002.jpg" > /dev/null
cat: Office Pics 002.jpg: Permission denied

Setting destination permissions while keeping real permissions in xattr
Hello,
Is there any way with rsync to completely set file permissions on
destination (like 0440 for files and 0550 for directory) while still
memorizing real (source) permissions in extended attributes (with
--perms and --fake-super) ?
--chmod is of no help in this case.
I've been using rsync for a long time but wasn't able to find a way to
do this other than fixing permissions after

asterisk snmp
Hello,
I'm trying to monitor asterisk with snmp.
I'm using asterisk 1.4.4 compiled with res_snmp on a debian stable:
*CLI> module show like snmp
Module Description Use Count
res_snmp.so SNMP [Sub]Agent for Asterisk 0
I've configured asterisk in res_snmp.conf:
[general]
subagent = yes
enabled = yes
and when asterisk start print

HTML help index generation problem with R under Windows
Hello,
I am wondering if there has been a solution to the following issue with R
under Windows (see also thread to PR#6662 in this mailing list:
http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/devel/04a/0550.html )
I am using R for teaching students Statistics, so they are working with a
university-wide installation of R. I have compiled an R-library which
contains all the instructions and customised

Strange problem with WINS address resolution
Hi,
I've got a strange problem with address resolution in a mixed Network
with Samba on Linux as Server and Win2k / XP clients.
At first my setup:
- SuSE Linux 8.1
- Samba Version 2.2.5-SuSE on SuSE 8.1 (smd.conf attached)
- nmbd is configured to act as a WINS server.
- DHCP is installed (dhcpd.conf attached)
- No DNS is installed
Everything worked fine until a temporary Server-Down-Time,
