Old kernel bug back in CentOS 6.10?
I updated a few hypervisors and their VMs to CentOS 6.10 on Monday;
today I awoke to an alert saying all VMs are down. It looks like a very
old bug crept back in.
The machine is a ProLiant DL380 G7 with Xeon X5675 and 96 GB, running
half a dozen smallish VMs. Hypervisor and all VMs have kernel
2.6.32-754.2.1.el6.x86_64. Around the time the VMs must have gone down,
there are quite a few error

Panic with EL7 KVM guest on EL6 host on AMD server with latest kernel
Hi,
I have AMD servers running CentOS 6.10 as KVM host and on it guests
running CentOS 7.5.
Since the latest kernel update on CentOS 6.10,
kernel-2.6.32-754.2.1.el6.x86_64, I can't boot the CentOS 7.5 guests with
kernel-3.10.0-862.6.3.el7.x86_64 anymore.
Reverting CentOS 6.10 host to kernel-2.6.32-754.el6.x86_64 fixes the problem.
Screendump of the panic is attached, not very helpful I

I would not have expected this behavior now (last phase of OS).
It was very robust until now (Optiplex Workstation). I see some KVM
related lines in the changelog.diff. Before swimming upstream:

When you have time, could all 6.10 SRPMS be made available in 6.10/os as
well?
Also, there are a few updates still
