Panic with EL7 KVM guest on EL6 host on AMD server with latest kernel
Hi,
I have AMD servers running CentOS 6.10 as KVM host and on it guests
running CentOS 7.5.
Since the latest kernel update on CentOS 6.10,
kernel-2.6.32-754.2.1.el6.x86_64, I can't boot the CentOS 7.5 guests with
kernel-3.10.0-862.6.3.el7.x86_64 anymore.
Reverting CentOS 6.10 host to kernel-2.6.32-754.el6.x86_64 fixes the problem.
Screendump of the panic is attached, not very helpful I

subset handling
Dear Rui and UseRs,[a text file has also been attached, in case the format of my email is difficult to get]I am extremely sorry that I am bothering you once again, but I?ll have to get to the bottom of it. The following command
sp <- lapply(split(agg, agg$st), function(x) x[order(x$year, x$month), ])
gave me an output with monthly mean of population(as under). i am not able to apply

WEIBULL FRAILTY MODEL HELP
Dear R users,
I try to write an rcode for a paranetric weibull model with unobserved heterogeneity.
The data I have are giuven below.
( The data comes from Keiding and Klein artricle published in
the Statistics in Medicine 1996) .
While the simple weibull model runs perfectly ( I get -2*loglikelihood 1093,905), the
weibull frailty model does not run well.
The code I write is :

Overplotting: plot() invocation looks ugly ... suggestions?
Hi WizaRds,
I'd like to overplot UK fuel consumption per quarter over the course of five years.
Sounds simple enough?
Unless I'm missing something, the following seems very involved for what I'm trying to do. Any suggestions on simplifications?
The way I did it is awkward mainly because of the first call to plot ... but isn't this necessary, especially to set limits for the

kvm & permission denied
Everyone,
I am trying to install KVM on a desktop unit as a lab project with the
hope of being able to use kvm on one of our office servers after I
learn how. So far I am very low on the learning curve.
I have used the guide to make the installation :
https://www.linuxtechi.com/install-kvm-hypervisor-on-centos-7-and-rhel-

The installation seemed to go well, but when I tried to add Fedora

simple ts() object question
Dear Community,
say, I have an annual ts() object sampled from 1960 to 1969 like:
ta<-ts(1:10, start=1960, frequency=1)
How can I extract the value from the year 1965?
I mean, not by:
ta[6]
but by something like:
ta[1965]
where I'm directly referring to the year of the observation?
Thank you in advance!

Data Frame Manipulation: Time Series
Dear R Helpers:
I have a data set where the unit of observation is country-year. I would like to generate a new data set based on some inclusionary (exclusionary) criteria. Here is an example of the type of data that I have.
df<-data.frame(cbind("country"=c(rep("Angola", 9), rep("Burundi", 7), rep("Chad", 13)), "year"=c(1975:1983, 1989:1995,
