SATA pass-through woes
I''m trying to pass my SATA controller through to a domain and have run
into a weird situation. I have two machines with the same general
class of hardware (Intel PIIX) and the pass-through works on one
machine but not the other. On the non-working system, the SATA
controller makes port reads, but they don''t return the correct values.
For example, when running it in dom0, when

ggplot - line_range help, second tier axis label
Hi All,
Will try and keep brief, excuse the poor graphics skills, first time using
GIMP. I would like to make the first one look (somewhat) like the second if
possible.

is it possible to create a trellis object with multiple colorkeys/z-scale axis?
Dear R users-
Do the lattice/latticeExtra packages support multiple tileplots with unique
colorkeys? I am trying to create a visualization of the encounter rate of
certain stocks of salmon across two years. The issue I am having is that
some stocks are encountered at much higher rates than others.the high
encounter rate for one stock washes out the patterns I'm hoping to visualize
across the

No UID associated with this user name
Hi sorry if this is the wrong place to post but I'm not sure where to
go to and I'm a bit desperate.
We just brought our Sunfire 6800 server and Storedge 9960 RAID array
Solaris 8 back up after some maintenance and everything came back up
'clean' but I cannot get our SAMBA software to recognise any users or
directories when logging in remotely from an apple or windows box.

samba daemons
Hi there
Our server crashed this morning and now SAMBA is acting funky.
I can connect to the fileserver via samba from an apple box and I can
mount my home directory and access my files, I can also mount the
other folder with data in it but I can't access, in fact I can't see
any files inside this folder.
On the server if I do ps -ef | grep smbd I get

adding tick labels to tileplot()
Hi all -
I am far from fluent in R and need some help polishing up a figure I am
trying to create. I wish to make a "tileplot" (from package extraLattice)
where the x axis is time (months; may - sept) and the y axis is space
(fishery management zones). Here is my code so far:
tileplot(effort~month_num*-area_num,mae,col.regions=topo.colors(100),
border =

RE: RE: VLAN and BRIDGE HELP
While I am still in the process of working through this here are the steps I am taking to set up each machine.
1) Since each of my servers have multiple NIC ports I bond them together (see page 34 of the Administrators Guide) first. This is best down from the physical server and not via the remote console. If you do it remotely you will then have to reconfigure the management port before

RE: RE: VLAN and BRIDGE HELP
You are very welcome.
One thing that I am working on now involves removing the step toward the beginning:
xe pif-reconfigure-ip uuid=<UUID of the bond created above> mode=static gateway=<GATEWAY> IP=<IP ADDRESS> netmask=<NETMASK> DNS=<DNS SERVER ADDRESS>
I do not believe that this step is necessary since we will not use the pif directly. We will use
