Kernel 2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.x86_64, higher than usual load
I did a batch update on a number of Xen vservers, with kernel 2.6.32-573.26.1 being installed. In addition to load averages being high and these #s not being reflected by the individual CPU numbers within top, I now have a spattering of occasional daemon crashes that the vservers have historically never had. Such as, here is the start of a nameserver blowing up in my logs: May 12 04:03:41 XXX

RES: v2.2.27 released
Helo Timo, I tried to compile and got one error on Centos 6.8: checking that generated files are newer than configure... done configure: error: conditional "SSL_VERSION_GE_102" was never defined. Usually this means the macro was only invoked conditionally. # configure ./configure with-ldap=yes --with-zlib --with-bzlib --with-solr # uname -a Linux host 2.6.32-573.26.1.el6.x86_64 #1

Distributed computing with R
Dear all, We have started using R for data analysis since a few months and find it useful. We are planning to acquire a high-end dedicated system for microarray data analysis and thinking of a distributed environment. I would appreciate if some one could send some pointers regarding how to choose a proper hardware configuration, software (R or other software, esp. MATLAB), issues on setting up

I got "403", "Forbidden"... please help
Hi, I'm setting up Asterisk as a voicemail with SER. My problem is, when a caller that is not registered with asterisk (no username and password in sip.conf) it prompts "403, Forbidden" . I need all calls from outside of my network to reach asterisk for my users' voicemails, because anonymous users will surely reach voicemail of my users to leave messages. What do I

v2 connection logging vs v1
When connecting with v1, the server logs a message when I exit my login shell: Closing connection to 130.207.167.32 However, when connecting with v2, it only ever logs: Connection closed by remote host. Tracing through the code, it appears that instead of breaking in serverloop.c:server_loop2() at: if (had_channel && !channel_still_open()) {

scp -2 patch
I can't see why there shouldn't be a '-2' flag for "scp" when there's one for "ssh". Am I missing something here? Attached is a very simple patch for scp.c and scp.1 that introduces a '-2' for scp. -i doesn't work for v2 DSA keys
I just found that trying to specify a DSA identity file with '-i' doesn't work. Although the man page doesn't indicate that this is supported for DSA keys, it also doesn't indicate very clearly that its _not_. Indeed, in ssh.c:main(), the "-i" only increments and sets: options.options.num_identity_files options.identity_files where it would need to modify:
