CentOs 7 i386 & PAE Kernel
Hi Gurus,
I've been playing with CentOS 7's AltArch i386 builds with some good results on one machine, but can't get it to boot properly on another with a newer Bay Trail CPU. Previously CentOS 6 i386 worked on both, and that set a legacy I'd like to recreate...
I *think* the problem is that the 7 kernel is non-PAE, and that has some peculiar knock on effect that prevents some

How to build nss-util.i686 on Centos 7 with mock
Hello list,
I'm currently trying to build the i686 version of
http://vault.centos.org/7.5.1804/os/Source/SPackages/nss-util-3.34.0-2.el7.src.rpm
The x86_86 version works with mock, but I cannot figure out
how to build the i686 version.
best regards,
Martin

detect agfl count corruption and reset agfl
Hi there,
My apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, but I was
wondering if anyone had any information on whether or not the following
patch has or will make its way into the CentOS Kernel?
https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/10283095/
We are currently experiencing this problem with the latest version of
CloudLinux (based on CentOS), so I believe it isn't currently included.

PI3
Hi All,
I downloaded:
http://mirror.centos.org/altarch/7/isos/armhfp/
for the PI3
This article says the PI3 runs X.
http://news.softpedia.com/news/centos-7-linux-officially-released-for-raspberry-pi-2-banana-pi-and-cubietruck-497891.shtml
When I groupinstall Gnome desktop and reboot, then run startx I get an
error about no screens found.
Whats the trick to get X on the PI3?
Thanks,
Jerry

CentOS 7 - AltArch i386 - DVD iso?
Just curious. In the two most recent releases of CentOS 7 AltArch i386
there has not been made available a DVD iso (or the live ones) alongside
NetInstall/Minimal/Everything. Any plans to make available the DVD
variation for the current or future releases?
For older 32-bit hardware, it can be nice to be able to burn a single layer
DVD.
Thanks for your time,
-Brendan

test builds on private server updates (kernel)
Hello Everyone,
Because my tests on AMD and Intel, I had to update the linux firmware.
Update comes from the upstream fedora packet and also works on centos with new kernel.

How to rebuild the kernel
Hi everyone,
I am using Centos 7.8.2003 kernel 3.10
. I was trying to build and install the latest linux stable kernel i.e.
5.7, I successfully did the process but accidentally messed it up by
copying the .config file again in 5.7 kernel src,I tried to rebuild the 5.7
kernel but got make error as I was still on 5.7 kernel.
Then I changed to 3.10 and tried to rebuild 5.7 but was not successful.

qemu-kvm rebuild in Centos for oVirt in SIG Virt
Hi guys,
As we discussed in the last CentOS SIG Virt meeting below the steps that
we do to rebuild the qemu-kvm from http://vault.centos.org to enable the
rhev-features like live snapshot for CentOS.
1. Download the last qemu-kvm from
http://vault.centos.org/${version}/updates/Source/SPackages/
2. mock -D "${build_version}" -r epel-6-x86_64 --with=rhev-features
--rebuild

EPEL packages for CentOS 7 i686 AltArch distro
I have begun building the EPEL packages for the CentOS 7 i686 AltArch
distribution.
You can watch the progress here:
http://buildlogs.centos.org/c7-epel/
Should have most of the packages built in the next couple days.
Thanks,

Hi there,
I can't boot my new Laptop (HP Elitebook 840 G) with
CentOS-7-x86_64-LiveKDE-1804.iso. Boot proccess stops very quick with
kernel panic.
Is there a ISO-Image with more recent kernel, maybe 4.17 from elrepo?
Mit freundlichen Gr??en / Kind regards
