reading -- and editing -- ebooks
Last week I bought a couple books, not ebooks. I considered buying the ebook, but don't want to need a special device/appliance to read it. I'd much prefer to read ebooks on the Linux (CentOS) machine I'm already using. Also, I'd like to be able to programmatically convert the ebook into a format I can edit myself, e.g., HTML. I have no experience owning or purchasing ebooks.

This is an ebook viewer application, it does not require install, but it requires Internet Explorer 4 or higher. I don't know, should I install Internet Explorer first, or does Wine contants the requires libraries? Does it make any difference if I would install

Datakam Player (Registrator Viewer)
Is it possible to get Datakam Player/Registrator Viewer, a program supplied with many dashcams, to run on my Linux system using wine? When I try to do so at the moment, I get a "Bad EXE format" error. I am running wine-1.6.2 on a Debian 7 system, amd64. I can play the video and audio parts of my dashcam footage using a variety of players but they don't handle the GPS part. -- Phil

RWeka control parameters classifiers interface
Hello, I have some trouble in achieving the desired parametrisation for the weka classifier functions, using the package RWeka. The problem is, that the functions result=classifier(formula, data, subset, na.action, control = Weka_control(mycontrol)) do not seem to be manipulated by the mycontrol- arguments Perhaps this should be resepected via the handlers- argument , but the

"Not enough memory" on MacOSX
I just installed wine 1.2-rc7 on a recent Macbook Pro under MacOSX 10.6.4 using Macports. It works fine with several Windows applications. However, when I try to execute an EXE file compiled from a simple Fortran program on a Windows box, all I get is: wine: Not enough memory The message is not correct since I have 4GB and the program is small. Also, the program works with wine-1.0.1 on a
