Initially, I just rebooted from LiveCD and left Grub, kernel and dracut do
their job with the defaults, but unfortunately, boot process stops at
initrd (dracut) stage with the following error:

kickstart: dracut-initqueue fails due to unresolvable hostname even though network config looks perfectly ok
This problem still bites us. I've tried to play around with DHCP
settings (rd.net.timeout.dhcp, rd.net.dhcp.retry) to no avail.
I'm happy about /any/ hint.
Cheers

kickstart: dracut-initqueue fails due to unresolvable hostname even though network config looks perfectly ok
Hi,
kickstarting fails due to problems with host resolution, even though the
network seems to be properly configured through DHCP. eno1 and eno2 are
both attached to the network, but only eno1 gets an IP via DHCP. Still
`curl` cannot resolve the mirror host and the kickstart host during

GUI boot failure after latest shim (etc) updates
This isn't the problem everyone else has been talking about, but...
I made sure that yum update offered the packages Johnny said it should
then updated. when I rebooted everything looked normal except it was
taking a long time to bring up the login screen.
Flipped over to ALT-F2 and saw a message about waiting for Plymouth
boot screen to quit. I waited a while and it went up to (and past)

Kernel Panic at Boot
Hi All,
This is a Centos 6.4 system used as a home server and Myth backend
machine. It has just suffered a motherboard failure and I have got a
identical replacement.
This machine normally runs in run level 3. It has a NVidia graphics card
and the NVidia driver installed but I found it crashed the machine as
soon as I started X on there. So I never bothered with X and left it in RL3.
So as

CH7007A (AKA CH7006) TV OUT Support for NV11 (NVidia GeForce2 Go Dell I8K Laptop)
After analyzing verbose nouveau & drm dmesg, I have found seemingly no more
useful details pertaining to having no TV-1 device. The TV-1 device might be
getting lost within DRM, by setting the TV-1 (SVIDEO, Composite) device into
DPMS mode or Full Power Down mode, and the ch7006 datasheet does say in this
mode, all but the i2c circuits are disabled! Looking at

Unit libvirtd.service could not be found. on VM
Hi all,
Some background:
I recently has some issues with libvirt on my laptop when I got the error
'operation failed: pool 'default' already exists with uuid
dd48b6ad-9a00-46eb-a3a4-c122d8a294a5' when I connected virt-manager. I was
finally able to resolve it yesterday, when I removed libvirt and all its
related content in /etc/libvirt, removed the pool by its UUID, deleted

If I open the desktop integration tab an try to install a theme the winecfg hangs. Installing a theme to windows/resources/themes doesn't help - it is not show in the list of themes after a restart ...
Any suggestions ?

Issues booting centos7 [dracut is failing to enable centos/root, centos/swap LVs]
Hello,
I'm having a strange problem booting a new centos7 installation. Below some
background on this. [I have attached the tech details at the bottom of this
message]
I started a new CentOS7 installation on a VM, so far all good, o/s boots
fine. Then I decided to increase VM disk size (initially was 10G) to 13G.
Powered off the VM, increased the vhd via the hypervisor, booted from

[fdo] Idea for more consistency across toolkits
Hi,
I had an idea which I think could dramatically improve the cross toolkit
display of widgets.
At the moment toolkits load their settings and a style from files stored
locally where the client is running. The problem with this approach is that
every toolkit has its own place and means of storing these settings. When
programs are run from more than one toolkit they often appear very
