flash and konqueror
I am stuck taking this stupid online training course from work. It just
sits there doing nothing with firefox, so I pulled up konqueror, and tell
it to lie and say it's IE. That works... until it gets to the content,
which some HR moron is *positive* desperately needs to be in flash.
I've gone into konqi's configuration, and told it to scan the correct
directory for plugins, and yet

Zoom?
Hi, folks,
After I did a complete reinstall of current 7, with KDE instead of
minimal, I'm mostly ok... except for Zoom. Has anyone gotten sound
working with firefox? I get video, but it keeps claiming that my browser
(the default firefox) can't access the system sound.
Given that even as I type this, I'm streaming WUMB through its
player.... I have noScript, but I

[cfe-dev] RFC: Moving toward Discord and Discourse for LLVM's discussions
There *are* open-source Discord clients, 3rd party tools and the like. The
corporation behind Discord is just not authorising you legally to use any
of those tools at hand. There are rarely any technical barriers or
countermeasures, though.

David,
I'm glad you mentioned Discord's T&Cs. I'm not generally concerned about these kinds of things, but Discord's seems particularly aggressive. Particularly the phrase "perpetual, nonexclusive, transferable, royalty-free, sublicensable, and worldwide license" is... a lot. Since LLVM is a permissively licensed project I assume many of our contributors care about

My understanding is this is because Slack does not have good moderation tools. I'm unfamiliar with further details in this regard.

"help.start() and kde konqueror"
Hello,
When I attempt to use KDE 3.03 "konqueror" for help.start() I can't get the
search engine to work but otherwise help.start() is OK. How should
"konqueror" be setup for this?
The response to the command is below:

search documentation not working with mozilla and konqueror (PR#5379)

When mozilla or konqueror are used as help browser, the Search Engine page links
nor the search do not work. Mozilla quietly ignores any click, while konqueror

Konqueror Reference Error HTMLFormElement
Hi,
while working with prototype and scriptaculous I received the following
error using Konqueror: "ReferenceError: Can''t find variable:
HTMLFormElement" ( Prototype 1.5.0_rc1 ). So I had a closer look in the
prototype.js file and recognized that there is a special function to
create needed elements for Konquereror and Safari.
The intersting line is in line 1298:

Konqueror Ajax update
I had been comparing IE and Firefox Ajax performance, and since I have a
couple of Unix boxes in my workshop, I threw Konqueror into the mix, and
reported here earlier today (or yesterday) that Konqueror ( 3.4.3) could
handle Ajax perfectly, at least as far as the simplest AWDWR Ajax example
(./example/index) was concerned.
It occurred to me to do a more grueling test.

discord: things to do to run it.
Hi, folks,
Installed discord last night, everything, including video worked,
but not voice. As usual, I logged out last night before bed, and voice
seems to work. Used the tgz, of course.
HOWEVER, note that you *do* need to install libatomic for it to work
properly, otherwise when it comes up, it says "the installation is
corrupt", and the only button there, for help, is

Konqueror compatibility
Thomas,
currently the script.aculo.us scripts have some workarounds for Safari
that should be extended to more generally cover all khtml-based
browsers, Konqueror in particular.
In prototype.js, there is a workaround for an addEventListener bug that
affects Konqueror as well as Safari, controls.js has a similar
workaround, and the special case in dragdrop.js doesn''t hurt anyway.
